Jeffrey MacDonald Back in the News
Many of you who follow crime stories are likely familiar with the case of Jeffrey MacDonald--the doctor, the former Green Beret who was found guilty of killing his wife and two daughters. He is back in the news this week as a judge considers whether or not he should get a new trial based on new evidence.
I originally wrote about this case eons ago!! It shows how old this blog is. I wrote about Jeffrey MacDonald back in November of 2005 before I even knew if I had this ability!!
At that time when I watched him talk, I believed him. I didn't see any hotspots, yet I was notably torn by the facts in the case. The two didn't sit well with me, but I couldn't disregard what MacDonald said.
However, as I grew into my ability and learned more about it, I realized that the stakes of a situation matter and matter greatly -- that is once the stakes of a high price situation fade -- meaning one is convicted, the clues can fade dramatically, if one is lying. The pressure is gone, and I realized that I could not accurately discern MacDonald's honesty.
I have always hoped I could find footage of MacDonald from his trial but I never did. I have seen small snippets of footage from his TV appearance with Dick Cavett show, but it was not enough.
So at this time, I do not have what I need to make a determination on truth or honesty. You can read my original thoughts here.
I am interested to see how this case develops!
