Manti Te'o's Many Smiles

When you think of what Manti Te'o allegedly experienced, its pretty easy to understand the emotions one would feel in his situation, if they were duped as he said he was.  You'd experience a lack of trust, self-doubt, and some pretty intense humiliation for falling for such a stun for so long.  You'd feel sadness and anger that the one you thought you "loved" and "mourned" never really existed.  You'd feel completely insecure and likely would have problems talking to people admitting how foolish you were.

But oddly, Te'o seems to experience NONE of these emotions.

Watch his interview with Katie Couric with the volume off and tell me if you see any of these emotions...

I took some screenshots randomly through his interview. I think you'll find them quite telling about how Te'o really feels about all of this...

Faces don't lie!

It's a little shocking, isn't it?  He sure looks like a victim of a sick, twisted hoax.  NOT!

I'm amazed at how he is "protecting" his perpetrator, too. If you notice he doesn't say anything negative about him at all nor does he ask any tough question, or demand he come out and speak the truth.  Hmmm...I wonder why?
