Eyes for LiesSM
An expert in deception

The Science
Scientists have identified 50 individuals who are able to spot deception with great accuracy after testing more than 15,000 people. Eyes for Lies is one of the 50 people. More

Eyes kept score on her blog for 7.5 years and had an accuracy rate of 95% after identifying truth and deception in 38/40 people before the truth was known by watching media clips. A record comparable to none. Eyes for Lies is not psychic.

Jodi Arias Admitted to Psychiatric Ward
  by Eyes at 12:47 PM

Hospital corridor, in gray

Jodi Arias was admitted to a psychiatric ward in Lower Buckeye jail some time after the verdict. Many people are speculating if this was another manipulation stunt by Jodi.  I would say it is not.

I believe one of two things may have happened and agree with Dr. Drew when he suggested that when Jodi Arias said she preferred to die rather than serve out her natural life in prison, the warden of the jail may have very well put her on suicide watch as he is responsible for her life.

He also said that medical professionals have certain criteria they use before they lock someone up in the psych ward.  I believe him in this regard as well.

Jodi Arias may have had a serious melt down for two reasons:

1. If she heard she was going to be transported to a psych ward because of what she said in her TV interview after the verdict, this would have caused Jodi to flip, because her "game" of saying she wanted death (when I really believe she didn't) backfired on her, and bit her in the bum.  She wouldn't have anticipated this, and the lack of control she had at that point would have been nil, and she likely reacted and reacted violently.

or

2.  When Jodi was finally left alone after the verdict, she may have realized that her life as she knew it was over, and again, the idea that she had no control could have caused her to flip mentally and/or physically. It's very, very possibly.

People who suffer from Jodi's disorder of psychopathy do not do well in situations where they lack all control.  In trial, Jodi had a fair amount of control still, but since the verdict that has changed. She will no longer be able to influence people as easily as she did before-- at least for a while. Granted, she will still try and she still will be able to do so, but her effectiveness will be less than ever before until she builds networks in prison.

Which on that note, I do believe that Jodi Arias is an extremely high risk prisoner. I think she has the highest propensity to escape from prison of any other suspect I have analyzed since Diane Downs.  And Diane Downs, who shares Jodi's sickness, has escaped and tried multiple times.

If I were to speak to Jodi Arias' warden, I would strongly advise him to keep an extra hard watch on Jodi Arias through her entire time in prison. I would put the toughest guards on her who are least likely to fall for her manipulation--because Jodi can be extremely good at manipulating people (even though we haven't witnessed it in court). I would not be surprised at all if she manipulates people who are clueless as she escapes beneath them.

 Jodi Arias Continues to Manipulate
  by Eyes at 4:26 PM

While I haven't seen much of Jodi's after-conviction interview, I did see her talk about wanting the death penalty, and I don't believe her for one minute.

I'm convinced this is another manipulation.  Jodi believes if she tells the jury this, they will give her life in prison instead, which I believe is exactly what she wants.

Jodi doesn't fear prison half as much as she says. She knows she can still masterfully manipulate many of the people in prison, she can go after appeals--she may even be arrogant enough to think she can escape--and its possible!  She's no dummy (thought she acted like it when cornered in court, I'll give you that!).  And I think she has a lot of revenge she wants to dish out as well.

I don't believe for an instance that Jodi want to die, and she shows clues in her behavior when she says it too!

Jodi Arias Convicted of First Degree Murder
  by Eyes at 3:59 PM

I just watched Jodi Arias as she was delivered her verdict. She looked quite hopeful prior to learning the jury's verdict, but when it come out that they voted guilty for first degree murder, she gasped at first and then watched as each juror confirmed his or her vote.

After that, Jodi didn't seem to be in shock. She seemed to have some sense this was likely--probably from hearing through her friends that the world saw through her. Justice was served today in the Jodi Arias case.

She is truly one of the most dangerous woman we have among us and I am happy she will at minimum be locked up!

You can read my original thoughts on Jodi Arias back in 2009 here.

Kristi Abrahams Admits to Killing Daughter Kiesha
  by Eyes at 9:29 AM

When Kiesha's parents came out in the media in August of 2010 to report their little girl had vanished, I pointed out that their behavior was off and was not supportive of the story they were giving us.  I didn't trust them from day one, and now almost three years later, Kiesha's mom has admitted to killing her daughter.

You can read more here.

Read my original thoughts on this case here as well.

Thank you to the many followers who have sent me recent updates on this case!

Amanda Knox makes me feel VIOLATED
  by Eyes at 11:00 AM

In this video, I have to ask you to put yourself in Amanda's shoes.

Imagine you are innocent, and wrongly accused of MURDERING someone you did NOT murder.

Imagine you went to trial, were denigrated horrifically around the world, had your reputation ruined, you were found guilty of murdering someone you DID NOT MURDER and you sat in prison for four years.

Think about how you would feel...

I can be 100% confident you would be mad and angry and that you would feel extremely violated that a justice system could get things so wrong!

And I can be confident that years would not take that feeling away from you or her especially in the light that courts are now re-looking at Knox again and could lock her up.

Now watch sweet, innocent looking Amanda talk.

Listen to her words.

What do you hear?

Do you hear a victim?

I don't.

The first thing real victims of injustice will talk about is their injustice.

Not Amanda...no, its not in her thoughts at all.

Amanda's first comments to Robin Roberts?

"I'm so grateful to be here. I'm so grateful to have this chance and um, I really, really hope that....people will read it."

Hmmm...she seems most concerned with getting people to read "it" her book.  Wow.

Notice that she says nothing about how it feels so good to have the chance to tell people I am innocent--I am NOT guilty!  Do you hear that? Or... I was wrongly accused. Nope. Nothing!!

Robin even gives Amanda another try to get it right and even focuses her.  Robin says, "What is it you wanted people to hear MOST from you?"

I expect I am innocent to come blaring out of her now. Does she do it?

No.

Amanda says, "Wow. It...(sigh)...I wanted people to know who I was because I felt that I was lost in the middle of this storm...and I was taken over...and I want people to know precisely what it is I went through and precisely what I thinking at every moment and I wanted to give what I was able to get out of it."

WOW oh WOW oh WOW.

Are you kidding me? What a bunch of nonsense!!!!

If you were wrongly convicted, would you be lost in a STORM?

Hell no. You wouldn't be lost at all. You'd KNOW you were RAILROADED.

I can't believe the crap she is dishing out.

I'm flabbergasted.

She goes on to say it is so important for her to be honest?

Epic fail, Amanda. Epic fail.

I do not believe Amanda now, like I didn't before, but this time she has given me her own words and behavior to support my belief.  There is not one thing Amanda did in two interviews that made me believe her for one instant.  Not one.

I find Amanda to be cold, callous, deceptive, and an actress who portrays different personalities to different people--exactly as I felt before.

The sweet little Amanda we saw in court and on TV is not the same woman who her friends saw, or the people in Italy saw prior to this crime. No, this sweet woman says about Meredith to her friends after her death, "How could she not (have suffered), she got her fucking throat slashed."

Nice girl, eh?  Sweet and demure? Not.

For those who think she is sweet and innocent, this comment tells you otherwise. This is not consistent with a sweet, little demure innocent girl from Seattle. No, Amanda is smart, intelligent and far from unworldly.  She is a smart cookie, no doubt, but not good at playing a victim when she is not.

I wish I had more time to write now, but I don't.  Check back for more thoughts as my time permits.

 Sherry West's Baby Shot
  by Eyes at 12:19 PM

Many of you wonder what I think about Sherry West's story. I am deeply troubled by it on many levels.  Clearly, Sherry West is a tortured and troubled soul, and I am suspicious by her behaviors that she has deep emotional problems, and hence mental illness cannot be ruled out.  With that, I want to proceed with caution on this:  great caution.

I clearly understand why people are flagging this case. I see many, many hotspots in Sherry's behavior.  She has a whine to her voice, she doesn't shed tears, she has a gun pointed at her and doesn't believe it is real--even after the prep supposedly shot the the ground beside her, grazed her ear with a bullet and she was shot in the leg and her leg felt "numb". She tells us she only knew the gun was real when the perp killed her baby.  That seems implausibly unrealistic.

I read that the perp shot the baby directly between the eyes.  If that is true, how did he get such good aim if she was protecting him?

Sherry doesn't give us any details about how she tried to protect her baby at all or how she got help.  She also refused to give the man her purse despite the fact that he supposedly had a gun and seriously threatened her with it.

It all defies logic.

Sherry also had life insurance on a baby, yet was financially struggling and even complains that having a baby is "expensive" after her baby is killed, which is notable.

I am troubled by the fact Sherry tells her daughter that her brother is dead and then immediately asks when she will get a payout from the insurance.

Sherry also tells us that she is disabled, and that she has already had two cash payouts. That raises my eyebrows.

I do not find Sherry a trustworthy person at all.  I would be scared to death of her if I met her on the street, even before any of this happened. She is a person that I would only trust what I could verify with my own eyes regardless of what she says because she is emotionally tortured and all over the board.

I believe the only way to get to the truth in this case, with Sherry's emotional issues, is to rely on facts and facts alone, and nothing else.  I hope that is what is done in this case. I have had my concerns there have been some rushes to judgement.

I'd also like to see the two accused speak out as well. If they do, please point me to the interviews.

 My Thoughts on Amanda Knox
  by Eyes at 11:39 AM

I am sure many of you have heard that the Italian Supreme Court has overturned Amanda Knox's acquittal and has ordered her to be retried.  For any defendant in a case, this would be a horrific day, without question.

Many of you are wondering what I think of Amanda Knox.

I have not believed Amanda's story from day one.  I don't believe she told us what she knew to be true.  I believe without question that she has other memories or experiences that she has not shared with us that are in some way related to what happened to Meredith Kercher or the events of that evening.

Does that mean that I believe she murdered Meredith Kercher?  It does not.  I can never speculate what deception, or information that is withheld will reveal.  That would be suggesting I am psychic, which I absolutely am not.

The first clue that Amanda gave us was her changing stories.  When people are 100% uninvolved in a crime, they don't change their stories.  They have absolutely no reason whatsoever to do so, but Amanda did.    First Amanda told us she was at the house that night and then she said she wasn't.

The second thing that Amanda did that I cannot reconcile is when she told us she was at the house that night, which I do believe is the truth (yet she redacted).  She said something to the effect Patrick and Meredith were in the bedroom and that at a certain point she heard Meredith screamshe was scared so she covered her ears and after that she doesn't remember anything.

When people are scared of something, they don't just cover their ears and IGNORE IT. They typically run and investigate what is going on to make sure people are okay, or they seek help if they fear for their or other people's safety.  If Amanda heard screams and covered her ears and did nothing else, it suggests she knew what was going on and isn't telling us.

The third element that deeply troubles me is that Amanda would point the finger at someone, if she had no involved.  Most people who are uninvolved would not do this. They wouldn't even think to do this!! But if you had something to hide or wanted to mislead people, you would have every reason to do so.

Fourth, what are the odds that Amanda would point the finger at an African man, albeit the wrong one, when one was apparently involved or at the house the night of the murder. The odds seem extremely far-fetched to be a coincidence.

Last, when Amanda testified in court and spoke out in English, I've never heard someone so incapable of finishing a sentence.  She was unable to give complete thoughts, or make clear and concise sentences.  If your life is on the line, you are telling the truth and you spent four years in prison, you would manage to accurately articulate your story because your life depended on it, but Amanda could not. This troubles me. Her manner of speaking was anything but supportive of the truth when I dissected it. And to this day, she has yet to give her version of what truly happened that makes sense, and pulls all of the pieces of this puzzle together.

I do believe Amanda was likely high as a kite that night, and may very well have a blurred memory.  She may have visions of bad things happening, and of who was involved and simply didn't do anything to stop things, or she could have been more involved. I do not know.

I don't know what the lies ultimately will reveal if they are ever uncovered, but I don't believe Amanda Knox has been forthright with us from day one.  I do not trust that we have heard the truth from her yet. When she is truthful, all of the elements above will be easily explained and understood.

I'm also not sure the Italian court will ever get to the truth. I don't deny the case was a media circus and the accusations were more whimsical than factually based.  Please don't confuse my opinion as being in agreement with the Italian legal process.  My opinions are solely based on the behaviors of Amanda Knox and her alone.

You Vote: Jodi Arias Abused or Not?
  by Eyes at 12:18 PM

 What would you do...
  by Eyes at 12:06 PM

This is a very chilling scenario:  What would you do if you walked into a murder in progress?  Would you step away silently to protect yourself?  Would you call attention to the murderer?  Would you silently walk away and call 911?

What would you do?  Compelling to think about...

Thanks to Keith for sharing this with me!

Watching human behavior is endlessly fascinating!!

 The Real Jodi Arias!
  by Eyes at 9:26 AM

I had a sense of who Jodi Arias really was, and this video confirms my suspicions.  In this video, we see a very arrogant, self-adoring Jodi chide herself that she should have put on makeup for her soon-to-be mugshot.  Clearly, this is not a woman who has remorse for what she did to Travis.

Furthermore, we hear her singing a tune that she clearly wanted to be heard.  She isn't singing this for herself, no way.  She is letting the cops know as she knows she is being recorded that I'll beat you yet!  She says, "It might change my memory..." This is defiant and arrogant and as conniving as you can get!!

It's an I'll show you moment who is boss. You won't push me around type of attitude.

Chilling to the bone.

Yes, when Jodi Arias is behind closed doors she laughs at her own belief of her brilliance and the fools she took down along her tirades. She sees them as idiots who dare crossed her path.  She loves to manipulate and control and feeds on it as we see in this video. It's like food to a Jodi Arias -- her lifeblood.

Jodi believes she is smart, more beautiful than everyone else--but now, clearly, she is the only one who believes this nonsense.  Let's hope the jury makes that very clear!

Thanks, Alex K, for the video link!

Twenty Percent of Drownings Could Be Homicides...
  by Eyes at 10:31 AM

This is an interesting news clip from Chicago that talks about how drownings may actually be homicides and missed by detectives who are not trained in water recovery.  I found this fascinating.

There has been an abnormal number of young men who are in college who have drowned in the Chicago and Milwaukee area that I have noticed in the past 5-8 years and the trend deeply disturbed me. I have been suspicious of it for years and I am glad there are others who are too and are now taking a closer look at these deaths. I do not believe these were all accidental drownings.

Charles Erickson on Ryan Ferguson and The Crime
  by Eyes at 2:20 PM

48 Hours ran the latest updates to the Ryan Ferguson story last weekend. The show was titled "The Accuser".  I have been following this story since 2006.

For those of you who haven't followed the story, you can read about the story here, and you can read my original thoughts on this case from February 2006 here. I titled the post "Confess to a murder you didn't commit?"

I never believed Charles Erickson (who then went by the name "Chuck" back then)--not one time nor did I believe that Ryan killed Kent Heitholt.  Now for the first time, Charles speaks out about the case to 48 Hours.   He says he lied and wants to correct a wrong.

I have absolutely and 100% have stood by the fact that I believe Ryan Ferguson is innocent and honest, and had no part in the killing of Kent Heitholt. I have also said from day one that Charles Erickson was lying.

When I watch Charles Erickson speak to Erin Moriarty on 48 Hours, I do believe he is FINALLY BEING HONEST.  He is telling the truth!  He didn't remember anything, and under pressure, he lied to save his own hide --obviously realizing he was in way too deep.

Charles said, "The reason I felt I needed to lie and make things up is because I couldn't remember anything."  This is the truth and it is sad to see the judge doesn't believe it.

If there is one case in our justice system that I find horrifying, it is this case.  Ryan Ferguson should not be locked up and needs to be freed IMMEDIATELY.

Please support the Ryan Ferguson family any way you can. http://freeryanferguson.com/

I believe Ryan has the best and most capable attorney, Kathleen Zellner, helping his cause, but all her amazing work has yet to free Ryan -- mind you however, I believe she will work tireless until he is freed, and he will be freed.  He has to be, if we want to have a fair system!!

Please show your support for Ryan on your Facebook page, website and with your friends.  Justice needs to be served and served now!!

 Travis Alexander's Last Photograph
  by Eyes at 12:33 PM

When I first saw the photo of Travis Alexander above, I felt a strong feeling that he had a sense of what was going on when this photo was taken -- that he knew he was in serious trouble.  I sensed terror and fear and a sense of disbelief, like what they hell am I going to do?  I wondered when she took this photo, if she had a gun or a knife aimed or pointed at him at this point, and we see his initial reaction. Or I wonder if she was acting so deranged at this point, he knew it was a sticky situation.

Today an Eyes for Lies reader, Marian Gilbert, shared with me a photograph that she put into a face mirror software which splits the image of a face in half, and then mirrors it back.  She did both the left and right sides.

What it reveals is absolutely fascinating!  In the photo on the left you see sadness.  And the photo on the right you see an intensity that is gut-wrenching.  It's like a mix of a fear and anger that one would feel if they have their back against the wall and they are cornered. As another Eyes for Lies reader said its a "fight or flight" response.  I can't agree more.

This reader further conjectured, when we split a face in half, are we getting windows into the right and left brain?  You sure do wonder.

Thanks Eyes for Lies readers for sharing your thoughts with me and others!

 Juror's Question Concerning
  by Eyes at 11:08 AM

I have to admit that I have had little time to watch the Jodi Arias trial.  I typically try to tune into 20-30 minutes of HLN at night to catch up on the trial.  When I watched the other night and I heard one juror was taking notes, and the rest weren't, it concerned me that there may be one juror who could be believing Jodi's story. The behavior of that one juror was a standout.  See yesterday's post for more info.

On Facebook, one of my readers "Alex K" saw my post from yesterday, and then linked to this video above and wrote, "Perhaps it was that very juror who submitted the questions starting at 15:08, as soon as I heard the judge read that question and the few following it I had a feeling one of the jury members was on her side. It's just unreal."

It's very unreal and mortifying.

 Jodi Arias and Juror Questions
  by Eyes at 11:03 AM

Yesterday the jurors got to ask their questions to Jodi Arias in the court and it was said there were more than 156 questions--some of which were objected to.  However, on CNN, one of the correspondents covering the trial said something noteworthy to me.  She said that most of the jurors were NOT taking notes, but that one in specific was.

This has significance to me.

When there is disagreement in a group, and the group gets a chance to get clarification, the person who is the standout is the one who has to defend their position.  That person is going to be the most likely to "take notes" of comments to support their argument.  I mean let's face it, if you are in the consensus, and the majority of you feel the same, would you feel the need to take notes when you feel understood?  Probably not. But if you are the lone man out, you certainly would.

This gives me great concern that there is at least one hold out juror on this jury who may believe Jodi was a victim of abuse!!

I think the jury, if they were all in agreement, would still ask questions, but I don't think they would ask as many as they are asking because they would feel they have a good understanding of the truth.

It appears to me that the insightful jurors see that there is potential disagreement among them, and they needed to ask very clear and concise questions to get the one (or possibly more) jurors to see the truth.

I have to say this makes me quite nervous and I hope I am wrong!! Or I hope the ones who see the truth prevail with these questions and get the hold out to see the truth.

Jodi Arias lies constantly.  It is a rare moment when she says something truthful and to think there are believers, its mind-boggling to me.

________________________________________________________
Update:  In Facebook discussions, it was brought up that jurors are not supposed to talk about the trial until deliberations, and while I understand this, I do not think you can interact with other members of the jury for 9 weeks and not have a pretty good idea of where people stand in general on this case. Juror are allowed to talk about other topics over lunches, recesses, etc.  So I am firm believer the jurors have a pretty good understanding of whose buying Jodi's story and who isn't...

Steve Kardian Talks about Interviewing...Jodi Arias
  by Eyes at 4:28 PM

Here Steve Kardian, a retired aw enforcement officer, detective, sergeant and chief criminal investigator, talks about how to interview someone such as Jodi Arias.

Great interview, Steve!

I love when Jodi says, "I wasn't...I wouldn't even say I was jealous."  This statement by Jodi is a true admission as to the motive.  She wasn't jealous. She was mad, and couldn't control Travis to ultimately date her and her alone (and I suspect marry her), and for that he paid the ultimate price!

See more of Steve Kardian here.

 Jodi Arias' Lies
  by Eyes at 3:33 PM

If you've been watching Jodi Arias on the stand, there is no doubt you are frustrated this week. She is doing everything in her power to confuse, manipulate and control the flow of information from her to the prosecutor. She's quite skilled at it, too, holding her ground on the most nuanced of information. You can't help but be convinced by watching her that she knows every idota of detail about what happened to Travis, but alas, when questioned in detail, she claims a poor memory. Something happened she says that doesn't remember stabbing Travis.

Yeah, right.

While I am behind on the trial, this video above is very noteworthy to me.  It's from a week ago.

Jodi says when talking about holding the gun at Travis, "I was just pointing it at him. I didn't even know that I shot him.  It just...went off and he was...he lunged at me..."

This sentence is a whopper to me.  We can clearly see cognition, which makes no sense. Furthermore, I thought she killed him in self-defense.  Now she says it was an accident? Which is it?

If I was confronted by someone and a gun went off, I'd say it was an accident.  How does Jodi go from this to self-defense? Did she talk about how Travis responded after this? I'd love to hear what she has to say and how this escalated into stabbing him nearly three dozen times! But I suspect, she doesn't remember--nonsense!

She continues, "I didn't mean to shoot....him...or anything."

Her words here are mind-boggling. If you are pointing a gun in self-defense, you may not have wanted to shoot, but if you felt threatened enough you would, and you'd own that--even if you are sorry you killed someone.

Jodi seems to also forget that she should be feeling fear, shock, surprise, etc but she feels none of it!   Oops. Jodi talks without any supportive emotions whatsoever. It's flat out inconsistent.

Furthermore, she tells us that she went to Travis' closet where he kept a gun, and grabbed it.  Now, if she was truly fighting with Travis, who is considerably bigger than her, do you think he would have let her run to the closet?

And let's just say for arguments sake, she did get to the closet: Do you think Travis would have just watched her grab the gun?  He would know exactly what she was going for, if he had a gun and likely would have intervened, wouldn't you think?

But oh no, Travis doesn't seem to be present in Jodi's memories. Not at all.  Hmmm....Interestingly, Travis' friends say he didn't own a gun.

I don't believe a word out of this admitted LIARS mouth!!

Jodi Arias on the Stand Day 3
  by Eyes at 2:26 PM

Jodi Arias is really talkative on the stand and appears to be having a good time.  She smiles as if she is sharing the secret to a patent she intelligently dreamed up.  You'd never guess by just watching her face that she is talking about a man who she killed in self-defense (no, I do not buy that!).

When I watch Jodi, I see a manipulative, self-adoring, deceptive and cunning person.  She has learned to display her demeanor in a way that people think she is a meek little mouse so she can pull of her scheming without notice.  Thankfully, one of Jodi's ex-love interests has been on Dr. Drew sharing that Jodi is anything but meek and timid as she wants the jury to believe!  He is being completely honest.  Jodi?  Not at all.

People who play the meek mouse role often don't realize they give themselves away with direct eye contact as Jodi does here. It's flat out contradictory to her message, but clearly Jodi doesn't realize this in her scheming.

Jodi shows many traits of a psychopath:  arrogance, self-adoration, supreme belief in her intelligence, lack of sexual boundaries, etc.

Jodi, if you want my opinion, LOVES talking about sex on the stand.  She loves the shock value of it and I think that is what makes her smile.  I think she has always been one who had no issues making other people uncomfortable.

Another well known trait of psychopathic liars is to blame others for what they themselves do and are blamed for. And here Jodi talks about an ex-girlfriend of Travis who was jealous--when likely she was recalling what people said about her.  I've seen this more times than I care to recount.

 Mindy McCready and David Wilson
  by Eyes at 11:40 AM

This is an interesting video of Mindy McCready, a country singer, whose fiance was found shot outside their lake home in Arkansas in mid-January. When I watch Mindy, I see oblique eyebrows and true sadness, but I am pinged by one element. And while that element is not enough for me to say anything conclusive, it is begging me to look at more.

Mindy allegedly called the police and said that David had tried to commit suicide with a self-inflicted gunshot, if I understand the story correctly, but in this video she doesn't seem to stand by that. Now she acts like anything is possible.

And there could be other evidence that she knows about that we don't which police may have uncovered, or they may not have. Without knowing, I don't know if this is significant or not, so I want to see more!

Does anyone know if this has aired on Dateline yet or will air on Dateline?

Please keep me posted if Mindy speaks out again. Thanks.

 Jodi Arias Take the Stand
  by Eyes at 11:17 AM

To the surprise of many people, Jodi Arias took the stand in the murder trial of Travis Alexander yesterday.

We see a cold, calculating and manipulative woman playing the jury when we watch her talk.  She's answer the questions looking straight at the jurors--hoping to convince them by the old myth of "direct eye contact" that she is being honest.  It's going to backfire on her, if you ask me. I suspect the jurors will feel it is contrived and fake--playing to them to score points.

Jodi is a steely woman, and what many would call an "ice queen"--the typical traits of a psychopath.

Her soft near whisper demeanor is a weapon in her tool box as is her "innocent" and "frail" looks.  If you notice Jodi is wearing a short sleeve shirt to show off her small stature. She is hoping to convince a jury that she killed in self-defense, but if you know anything about this story, you will find that laughable.

When Jodi first killed Travis, she denied any involvement at all.  She told police she wasn't at the scene.  Then when police confronted Jodi with evidence that she was at the scene (nude photos being one), she then tried to tell the police that two masked gunman broke into Travis' house in the middle of the day and they simply killed him and left her go free. Her story was full of holes than as well--the biggest being a lack of supportive emotions--which I suspect we will continue to see as she tells her latest story.

But when Jodi found out she could get the death penalty, all of the sudden her latest story emgered:  she killed Travis in self-dense.  Yeah, she just happened to grab a gun and a knife in 50 seconds WHILE BEING ATTACKED (photos show the timeline) and killed him. I don't think anyone will buy it.   This should not be the Case Anthony trial of the year.

Jodi Arias is chillingly void of emotions.  She has them for herself, but no one else and trying to convince people that she was so scared for her life that she killed Travis will be entertaining to watch.

I can't wait for the cross-examination. That's when we'll get to see this manipulator at her best!  Will she crack under pressure when she feels her life is on the line?  Will she be able to show any emotions at all?  That's what I'm looking forward to.

 Stay tuned...
