Jodi Arias Admitted to Psychiatric Ward
  by Eyes at 12:47 PM

Hospital corridor, in gray

Jodi Arias was admitted to a psychiatric ward in Lower Buckeye jail some time after the verdict. Many people are speculating if this was another manipulation stunt by Jodi.  I would say it is not.

I believe one of two things may have happened and agree with Dr. Drew when he suggested that when Jodi Arias said she preferred to die rather than serve out her natural life in prison, the warden of the jail may have very well put her on suicide watch as he is responsible for her life.

He also said that medical professionals have certain criteria they use before they lock someone up in the psych ward.  I believe him in this regard as well.

Jodi Arias may have had a serious melt down for two reasons:

1. If she heard she was going to be transported to a psych ward because of what she said in her TV interview after the verdict, this would have caused Jodi to flip, because her "game" of saying she wanted death (when I really believe she didn't) backfired on her, and bit her in the bum.  She wouldn't have anticipated this, and the lack of control she had at that point would have been nil, and she likely reacted and reacted violently.

or

2.  When Jodi was finally left alone after the verdict, she may have realized that her life as she knew it was over, and again, the idea that she had no control could have caused her to flip mentally and/or physically. It's very, very possibly.

People who suffer from Jodi's disorder of psychopathy do not do well in situations where they lack all control.  In trial, Jodi had a fair amount of control still, but since the verdict that has changed. She will no longer be able to influence people as easily as she did before-- at least for a while. Granted, she will still try and she still will be able to do so, but her effectiveness will be less than ever before until she builds networks in prison.

Which on that note, I do believe that Jodi Arias is an extremely high risk prisoner. I think she has the highest propensity to escape from prison of any other suspect I have analyzed since Diane Downs.  And Diane Downs, who shares Jodi's sickness, has escaped and tried multiple times.

If I were to speak to Jodi Arias' warden, I would strongly advise him to keep an extra hard watch on Jodi Arias through her entire time in prison. I would put the toughest guards on her who are least likely to fall for her manipulation--because Jodi can be extremely good at manipulating people (even though we haven't witnessed it in court). I would not be surprised at all if she manipulates people who are clueless as she escapes beneath them.

 Jodi Arias Continues to Manipulate
  by Eyes at 4:26 PM

While I haven't seen much of Jodi's after-conviction interview, I did see her talk about wanting the death penalty, and I don't believe her for one minute.

I'm convinced this is another manipulation.  Jodi believes if she tells the jury this, they will give her life in prison instead, which I believe is exactly what she wants.

Jodi doesn't fear prison half as much as she says. She knows she can still masterfully manipulate many of the people in prison, she can go after appeals--she may even be arrogant enough to think she can escape--and its possible!  She's no dummy (thought she acted like it when cornered in court, I'll give you that!).  And I think she has a lot of revenge she wants to dish out as well.

I don't believe for an instance that Jodi want to die, and she shows clues in her behavior when she says it too!

Jodi Arias Convicted of First Degree Murder
  by Eyes at 3:59 PM

I just watched Jodi Arias as she was delivered her verdict. She looked quite hopeful prior to learning the jury's verdict, but when it come out that they voted guilty for first degree murder, she gasped at first and then watched as each juror confirmed his or her vote.

After that, Jodi didn't seem to be in shock. She seemed to have some sense this was likely--probably from hearing through her friends that the world saw through her. Justice was served today in the Jodi Arias case.

She is truly one of the most dangerous woman we have among us and I am happy she will at minimum be locked up!

You can read my original thoughts on Jodi Arias back in 2009 here.

 The Real Jodi Arias!
  by Eyes at 9:26 AM

I had a sense of who Jodi Arias really was, and this video confirms my suspicions.  In this video, we see a very arrogant, self-adoring Jodi chide herself that she should have put on makeup for her soon-to-be mugshot.  Clearly, this is not a woman who has remorse for what she did to Travis.

Furthermore, we hear her singing a tune that she clearly wanted to be heard.  She isn't singing this for herself, no way.  She is letting the cops know as she knows she is being recorded that I'll beat you yet!  She says, "It might change my memory..." This is defiant and arrogant and as conniving as you can get!!

It's an I'll show you moment who is boss. You won't push me around type of attitude.

Chilling to the bone.

Yes, when Jodi Arias is behind closed doors she laughs at her own belief of her brilliance and the fools she took down along her tirades. She sees them as idiots who dare crossed her path.  She loves to manipulate and control and feeds on it as we see in this video. It's like food to a Jodi Arias -- her lifeblood.

Jodi believes she is smart, more beautiful than everyone else--but now, clearly, she is the only one who believes this nonsense.  Let's hope the jury makes that very clear!

Thanks, Alex K, for the video link!

 Travis Alexander's Last Photograph
  by Eyes at 12:33 PM

When I first saw the photo of Travis Alexander above, I felt a strong feeling that he had a sense of what was going on when this photo was taken -- that he knew he was in serious trouble.  I sensed terror and fear and a sense of disbelief, like what they hell am I going to do?  I wondered when she took this photo, if she had a gun or a knife aimed or pointed at him at this point, and we see his initial reaction. Or I wonder if she was acting so deranged at this point, he knew it was a sticky situation.

Today an Eyes for Lies reader, Marian Gilbert, shared with me a photograph that she put into a face mirror software which splits the image of a face in half, and then mirrors it back.  She did both the left and right sides.

What it reveals is absolutely fascinating!  In the photo on the left you see sadness.  And the photo on the right you see an intensity that is gut-wrenching.  It's like a mix of a fear and anger that one would feel if they have their back against the wall and they are cornered. As another Eyes for Lies reader said its a "fight or flight" response.  I can't agree more.

This reader further conjectured, when we split a face in half, are we getting windows into the right and left brain?  You sure do wonder.

Thanks Eyes for Lies readers for sharing your thoughts with me and others!

 Juror's Question Concerning
  by Eyes at 11:08 AM

I have to admit that I have had little time to watch the Jodi Arias trial.  I typically try to tune into 20-30 minutes of HLN at night to catch up on the trial.  When I watched the other night and I heard one juror was taking notes, and the rest weren't, it concerned me that there may be one juror who could be believing Jodi's story. The behavior of that one juror was a standout.  See yesterday's post for more info.

On Facebook, one of my readers "Alex K" saw my post from yesterday, and then linked to this video above and wrote, "Perhaps it was that very juror who submitted the questions starting at 15:08, as soon as I heard the judge read that question and the few following it I had a feeling one of the jury members was on her side. It's just unreal."

It's very unreal and mortifying.

 Jodi Arias and Juror Questions
  by Eyes at 11:03 AM

Yesterday the jurors got to ask their questions to Jodi Arias in the court and it was said there were more than 156 questions--some of which were objected to.  However, on CNN, one of the correspondents covering the trial said something noteworthy to me.  She said that most of the jurors were NOT taking notes, but that one in specific was.

This has significance to me.

When there is disagreement in a group, and the group gets a chance to get clarification, the person who is the standout is the one who has to defend their position.  That person is going to be the most likely to "take notes" of comments to support their argument.  I mean let's face it, if you are in the consensus, and the majority of you feel the same, would you feel the need to take notes when you feel understood?  Probably not. But if you are the lone man out, you certainly would.

This gives me great concern that there is at least one hold out juror on this jury who may believe Jodi was a victim of abuse!!

I think the jury, if they were all in agreement, would still ask questions, but I don't think they would ask as many as they are asking because they would feel they have a good understanding of the truth.

It appears to me that the insightful jurors see that there is potential disagreement among them, and they needed to ask very clear and concise questions to get the one (or possibly more) jurors to see the truth.

I have to say this makes me quite nervous and I hope I am wrong!! Or I hope the ones who see the truth prevail with these questions and get the hold out to see the truth.

Jodi Arias lies constantly.  It is a rare moment when she says something truthful and to think there are believers, its mind-boggling to me.

________________________________________________________
Update:  In Facebook discussions, it was brought up that jurors are not supposed to talk about the trial until deliberations, and while I understand this, I do not think you can interact with other members of the jury for 9 weeks and not have a pretty good idea of where people stand in general on this case. Juror are allowed to talk about other topics over lunches, recesses, etc.  So I am firm believer the jurors have a pretty good understanding of whose buying Jodi's story and who isn't...

One Readers Thoughts On Jodi Arias...
  by Eyes at 4:07 PM

...caught my eye.  I thought his words and dissection of Jodi Arias' trial are spot on, and beautiful written. Thank you, Milton Wah, for sharing this!

"Her pathology rivals the Great Narcissus, himself. She is drunk on the attention, twirling cartwheels in the spotlight.

We are circus-loving creatures, here in the stadium seats. It is in our DNA to grant the villain a final moment in the center ring, before the Thumb of Caesar drops upon her head, and one more vanquished heel is turned to dust.”

I love this! Thanks, Milton.

Steve Kardian Talks about Interviewing...Jodi Arias
  by Eyes at 4:28 PM

Here Steve Kardian, a retired aw enforcement officer, detective, sergeant and chief criminal investigator, talks about how to interview someone such as Jodi Arias.

Great interview, Steve!

I love when Jodi says, "I wasn't...I wouldn't even say I was jealous."  This statement by Jodi is a true admission as to the motive.  She wasn't jealous. She was mad, and couldn't control Travis to ultimately date her and her alone (and I suspect marry her), and for that he paid the ultimate price!

See more of Steve Kardian here.

 Jodi Arias' Lies
  by Eyes at 3:33 PM

If you've been watching Jodi Arias on the stand, there is no doubt you are frustrated this week. She is doing everything in her power to confuse, manipulate and control the flow of information from her to the prosecutor. She's quite skilled at it, too, holding her ground on the most nuanced of information. You can't help but be convinced by watching her that she knows every idota of detail about what happened to Travis, but alas, when questioned in detail, she claims a poor memory. Something happened she says that doesn't remember stabbing Travis.

Yeah, right.

While I am behind on the trial, this video above is very noteworthy to me.  It's from a week ago.

Jodi says when talking about holding the gun at Travis, "I was just pointing it at him. I didn't even know that I shot him.  It just...went off and he was...he lunged at me..."

This sentence is a whopper to me.  We can clearly see cognition, which makes no sense. Furthermore, I thought she killed him in self-defense.  Now she says it was an accident? Which is it?

If I was confronted by someone and a gun went off, I'd say it was an accident.  How does Jodi go from this to self-defense? Did she talk about how Travis responded after this? I'd love to hear what she has to say and how this escalated into stabbing him nearly three dozen times! But I suspect, she doesn't remember--nonsense!

She continues, "I didn't mean to shoot....him...or anything."

Her words here are mind-boggling. If you are pointing a gun in self-defense, you may not have wanted to shoot, but if you felt threatened enough you would, and you'd own that--even if you are sorry you killed someone.

Jodi seems to also forget that she should be feeling fear, shock, surprise, etc but she feels none of it!   Oops. Jodi talks without any supportive emotions whatsoever. It's flat out inconsistent.

Furthermore, she tells us that she went to Travis' closet where he kept a gun, and grabbed it.  Now, if she was truly fighting with Travis, who is considerably bigger than her, do you think he would have let her run to the closet?

And let's just say for arguments sake, she did get to the closet: Do you think Travis would have just watched her grab the gun?  He would know exactly what she was going for, if he had a gun and likely would have intervened, wouldn't you think?

But oh no, Travis doesn't seem to be present in Jodi's memories. Not at all.  Hmmm....Interestingly, Travis' friends say he didn't own a gun.

I don't believe a word out of this admitted LIARS mouth!!

Jodi Arias on the Stand Day 3
  by Eyes at 2:26 PM

Jodi Arias is really talkative on the stand and appears to be having a good time.  She smiles as if she is sharing the secret to a patent she intelligently dreamed up.  You'd never guess by just watching her face that she is talking about a man who she killed in self-defense (no, I do not buy that!).

When I watch Jodi, I see a manipulative, self-adoring, deceptive and cunning person.  She has learned to display her demeanor in a way that people think she is a meek little mouse so she can pull of her scheming without notice.  Thankfully, one of Jodi's ex-love interests has been on Dr. Drew sharing that Jodi is anything but meek and timid as she wants the jury to believe!  He is being completely honest.  Jodi?  Not at all.

People who play the meek mouse role often don't realize they give themselves away with direct eye contact as Jodi does here. It's flat out contradictory to her message, but clearly Jodi doesn't realize this in her scheming.

Jodi shows many traits of a psychopath:  arrogance, self-adoration, supreme belief in her intelligence, lack of sexual boundaries, etc.

Jodi, if you want my opinion, LOVES talking about sex on the stand.  She loves the shock value of it and I think that is what makes her smile.  I think she has always been one who had no issues making other people uncomfortable.

Another well known trait of psychopathic liars is to blame others for what they themselves do and are blamed for. And here Jodi talks about an ex-girlfriend of Travis who was jealous--when likely she was recalling what people said about her.  I've seen this more times than I care to recount.

 Jodi Arias Take the Stand
  by Eyes at 11:17 AM

To the surprise of many people, Jodi Arias took the stand in the murder trial of Travis Alexander yesterday.

We see a cold, calculating and manipulative woman playing the jury when we watch her talk.  She's answer the questions looking straight at the jurors--hoping to convince them by the old myth of "direct eye contact" that she is being honest.  It's going to backfire on her, if you ask me. I suspect the jurors will feel it is contrived and fake--playing to them to score points.

Jodi is a steely woman, and what many would call an "ice queen"--the typical traits of a psychopath.

Her soft near whisper demeanor is a weapon in her tool box as is her "innocent" and "frail" looks.  If you notice Jodi is wearing a short sleeve shirt to show off her small stature. She is hoping to convince a jury that she killed in self-defense, but if you know anything about this story, you will find that laughable.

When Jodi first killed Travis, she denied any involvement at all.  She told police she wasn't at the scene.  Then when police confronted Jodi with evidence that she was at the scene (nude photos being one), she then tried to tell the police that two masked gunman broke into Travis' house in the middle of the day and they simply killed him and left her go free. Her story was full of holes than as well--the biggest being a lack of supportive emotions--which I suspect we will continue to see as she tells her latest story.

But when Jodi found out she could get the death penalty, all of the sudden her latest story emgered:  she killed Travis in self-dense.  Yeah, she just happened to grab a gun and a knife in 50 seconds WHILE BEING ATTACKED (photos show the timeline) and killed him. I don't think anyone will buy it.   This should not be the Case Anthony trial of the year.

Jodi Arias is chillingly void of emotions.  She has them for herself, but no one else and trying to convince people that she was so scared for her life that she killed Travis will be entertaining to watch.

I can't wait for the cross-examination. That's when we'll get to see this manipulator at her best!  Will she crack under pressure when she feels her life is on the line?  Will she be able to show any emotions at all?  That's what I'm looking forward to.

 Stay tuned...

Travis Alexander mentions worry of "Axe Murderer" before murder...
  by Eyes at 11:55 AM

Look at what this news report shows you about Travis' blog on myspace.com. It's mind-blowing what he wrote just shortly before he died..."This type of dating is like a very long job interview...desperately trying to find out if my date has an axe murderer penned up inside of her."

I searched his blog but wasn't able to find that part. Here is Jodi Arias myspace page and Travis Alexander's page.  They are still up, yet frozen in time. It offers insight into who each of these people were.

Travis Alexander looked like a neat guy, who had his act together, and cared about doing well in life.  He had a dog and showed signs that he was a compassionate man by this, his thoughts and his words.

Read Travis' posts: They reveal a lot about him.  He was man of deep thought, who comes across as quite intelligent.  He talks of meeting Nick Vujicic, a man who was born without arms and legs.  Travis talks about his violent and drug addicted parents and how he lived a horrific childhood.  He tells us how he left home at the age of 10 and how his grandfather changed his life. His grandfather told him he was special, but he said that didn't make him any better than anyone else.

In contrast, with Jodi Aris, all you have to do is watch her speak to see her controlling and manipulative behavior. It's as ripe as a peach rotting off the tree.

Many people who lived Travis' existence would have blamed the world for all of their problems, but he was wise to realize he was the only one in control of his destiny.  He was the one in control and yet he was humble. If only he had known that his wisdom about the "axe murderer" was so true that he needed to protect himself immediately, he might be here today.

But sadly, none of us are ever prepared for the wrath of a psychopath.  It's nearly impossible to predict when they will drop the pendulum of death.

 Jodi Arias Goes On Trial
  by Eyes at 12:30 PM

For those of you who have followed my blog for years, or attended one of my law enforcement training classes, you've been introduced to Jodi Arias. She's a soft-spoken, sweet demure woman who if you didn't know any better could sell herself to you as a sweet, innocent religious woman who couldn't harm a flea. But if you fell for her, you'd fall pray to one of the most serious psychopaths of our time. Think Casey Anthony.  News outlets are saying this is going to be one of the biggest cases of the year and I'm not surprised.

Before Jodi even went to trial for the murder of her boyfriend Travis Alexander, she has changed her story three times. First she says she wasn't at the crime scene, but that changed that story when police confronted her with nude pictures of her and Travis on the day he was killed.

So Jodi's next story?  It was that she was, in fact there, but she didn't do it. She witnessed two "individuals" harm Travis. The problem, on the camera that showed Travis and her having sex, was a photo that was recovered by police that inadvertently captured Jodi dragging Travis' body.

Oops.

When that didn't work, Jodi changed her story again to say, um, yes, she killed Travis, but it was in self-defense.  I can hear you all say in unison, yeah right!

Her attorneys are saying that she dropped Travis camera in the shower while taking pictures of Travis, and that enraged him -- so he lashed out at her and she had no choice but to save her life and kill him.

Hmmm...the gun and knife that ravaged Travis' body where just there and in reach for Jodi -- no planning or effort needed.  It's flat out laughable!

And add to the facts that Jodi Arias never called police. She just fled the scene.  The odds of her getting off, if you ask me, are one in a million.

Dan Abraham has come out saying that he believes Jodi Arias is claiming self-defense to try to avoid the death penalty.  Yes, Jodi Arias is facing the death penalty if convicted.

But it gets more stunning -- Jodi Arias tells Inside Edition in a last ditch effort to manipulate, "No jury is going to convict me...because I am innocent, and you can mark my words on that one. No jury will convict me."

This time, Jodi, the only one you are successfully manipulating is yourself.  We all see you clearly for who you are:  a raging psychopath.

I didn't know half the facts we know today about this case, but I didn't believe a word out of Jodi Arias' mouth when I first saw her on 48 Hours four years ago. You can read my thoughts here.

Jodi Arias Case Finally Going to Trial
  by Eyes at 11:40 AM

For those of you who have followed my blog for a while, or who have attended my law enforcement training classes, you may remember the case of Travis Alexander and Jodi Arias.

Travis Alexander's body was found shot and stabbed 27 times by his friends five days after his murder. Arias claimed it was two masked gunman that came into Alexander's apartment and that she managed to get away and had nothing to do with it. yet ironically never called to get Travis help. Yes, that says it all, doesn't it?

When you watch Jodi Arias talk to reporters, she not only smiles all the time, as she did in her mug shot, but she is emotionless as can be, which reveals a lot about Jodi Arias.

I don't think it will take a jury very long to get to the truth in this case.

Thanks, KC, for the update!

Murder Suspect Jodi Arias To Be Her Own Attorney
  by Eyes at 9:54 AM

Jodi Arias comes across as a sweet, innocent young girl in this video, doesn't she?  I think most people who didn't know she was locked up behind bars would find her "safe" to be around, but they would be surprised to know that she is sitting in jail awaiting trial for first degree murder and facing the death penalty.

Travis Alexander, 30, was found dead in his apartment in June 2008, and while Jodi first confess to police she was with him, though she fled the scene, she told them they were attacked by two masked gunmen.  When she could get away, she original told police she did, but ironically she never called 911 to help her friend, Travis.

I have since heard that Jodi Arias has changed her story, and now says that she killed Travis Alexander in self-defense.  I don't think she has much of a chance if this is hers story now.

Even more surprising, last week, Jodi Arias declared in front of a court that she wants to act as her own attorney, though she has no more than an 11th grade education.  The judge asked her if she had an legal experience, had a law license or even read the statute she is accused of violating and Arias replied "no".

There is no doubt this woman is smart, cunning and manipulative, but I think her arrogance will finally get the best of her.

While this case is not getting any press coverage at this time, should that change, I will keep you posted.

To read my original thought on this case (when Jodi claimed she fled from 2 attackers), click here.

 My Thoughts About Jodi Arias
  by Eyes at 10:42 AM

Jodi Arias, in many ways, is an unremarkable woman. She is a soft-spoken woman with a gentle demeanor. Her words ebb and flow almost effortlessly, and she is quite confident in the story she tells. If you just watched her speak, without listening to the words, you'd think she was just having a casual conversation with someone about something inane, or something even slightly pleasing to her. Her story doesn't get remarkable until you hear what it is she is talking about, and then suddenly, everything becomes remarkable.

Read moreHere is a quick synopsis of a few my thoughts:
  1. Arias' story clearly has one-in-a-million odds. What are the odds...

    • That two people would break into an apartment in the middle of the day, or late afternoon dressed in all black?

    • That they would kill one person, yet let the other go as a witness?

    • That you would leave a loved one mortally injured, and escape death yourself, but that you would never tell a soul nor ever call for help?

    • That as a victim, you wouldn't want justice?

    • That as a victim of violence, when approached by the police, you would deny everything, and then change your story, if you were truly almost killed at gunpoint by masked gunmen?

    • What are the odds that you'd forget about those masked gunmen after that night, never worry that they might know your identity or that they might come back to finish you off?

    • That an intruder would decide to use a victim's camera and take the time to shoot photos?

    • And then that they would take photos of the dying or dead body?

    • But strangely leave that camera behind in a washing machine (which shows the gunmen hoped to destroy the images)? What would be the point?

    • What intruder would even take the time to use a washing machine to remove the images, instead of taking the camera or the memory card with them?

    • What are the odds that a photographer might do this? Or that Arias might do this?

    • What are the odds the intruders or killers would pull the gun on Travis Alexander and it goes off, but when they pull it on Arias, it miraculously does not?

    • Arias also says at one point that the man walked her to Travis' bedroom and just left her there (without tying her up, etc). What killer or intruder would do that? Anyone know?

Almost every aspect of this case there are one-in-a-million odds, and each one by itself is incredible, but put them together, and it clearly supports that Arias is, statistically speaking, likely not being honest with us.

  2. Arias' emotions are completely absent. When people experience trauma, their memory and emotions become deeply intertwined, and when they recount their story, their emotions always come flooding back. Yet Arias is an exception here. She faced a gun pointed at her forehead, and the trigger was even pulled, but no bullet came out. Yet amazingly, she has no emotional memories to match it. Mind you, Travis Alexander, her boyfriend, was not killed until June of 2008, so he hasn't even been dead a year yet when this interview took place. Arias doesn't show any true emotions outside of flickers of joy. Is it duper's delight? Or joy that she succeeded in putting Travis where she thought he belonged? What other joy could she be feeling after a man she loved was murdered?

  3. Arias' details of the event are very sketchy and full of hedge words. Both of these raise alarm bells for me as well.
Arias: I heard... ah.... really loud, pop, and the next thing I remember, I was lying next to the bathtub and Travis was, um... screaming.

Arias: At that point, I...um...I sort of was just trying to come around and kind of orientate myself to what was going on," Jodi explains. "And I looked up and I just -- I saw two other individuals in the bathroom. And they were coming towards us.
Two other individuals? Is that how you would recall two people who attacked you? And the use of the word "other" is unusual as well. Also, if the intruders knocked Arias and Alexander down, or at least knocked her down and shot him, how come she recalls them both coming towards them again? It's unlikely two people will hit two others by hand or with a gun, move away and then come back again. It doesn't make sense.

"Jodi says Travis was alive when she fled his house." (48 Hours)
Arias: He was still sort of on his hands and knees, the whole time, until I ran from the room. That's the last that I saw him.
Notice the words "sort of" and how she finishes the sentence with "until"? Both of these words are unusual to me.
Arias: He pulled the trigger, and nothing happened with the gun, and so, I just grabbed my purse, which was on the floor at that point, and I ran down the stairs and out of there and I left [Travis] there. …I pushed past him and - and his gun, and I just didn't look back.
I find the words, "so", and "I just" here interesting, as well as her lack of emotional involvement in a supposedly horrific situation. I also find it interesting how she talks about her purse and qualifies its location, which was conveniently right at her feet at that point. How amazing is that? And if you notice, her story is not in the order of how things would naturally happen. She tells us she first ran down the stairs and out of there. Then she says she pushed past him and his gun. When people are deceptive, they often get their facts out of order like this.

When Arias says during the interview that the man led her to Travis' bedroom while the woman kept an eye on Travis, and just left her alone in Travis' bedroom, once he left, she says charged "her and she fell over him". Does this make any sense at all? It doesn't make sense on multiple levels. Try to envision it.

  4. Arias' story shows indications that she is thinking as she speaks in these instances as well:
Arias : They were both taller than me, um...they were covered -- their hands, their gloves -- they had long-sleeved shirt on. They were in all black. He was wearing jeans. But they all -- they had ski masks on and I believe they were there to kill him, um...because they didn’t take anything...to my knowledge, there was nothing missing from the house.
I find it strange how she says "their hands, their gloves", how they had long-sleeve "shirt" on, and how she says "But they all--they had ski masks on." It's not a natural speech pattern for recollection.

Then Arias says, "They were in all black", but she then says the guy was wearing jeans. Jeans are typically blue. If they weren't blue, I would be surprised that she noticed, in this horrific event, that they were black denim. It's rather an odd clue for her to pick up on, unless, of course, she is creating this story.

I find it rather odd when she says, "I think they were there to kill him, because they didn't take anything." She immediately adds on an afterthought, which is common when people don't tell the truth..."to my knowledge, there was nothing missing from the house." How did she know that, if she ran out of the house and left Travis? Did the police tell her this? Either way, her speech pattern here is unusual.

Arias says, "He had some blood all over the floor." Isn't this somewhat of a contradiction? Some blood, yet it is all over the floor? Doesn't it usually take a lot of blood to be all over the floor?

  5. I find it interesting when Arias says, "“I drove forever and ever, until I was in the middle of the desert." At which time, she tells us she called Travis twice and left him voice mail messages. Was she trying to create a record of her whereabouts so she could claim she was far away from Alexander that night? It makes absolutely no sense otherwise that she would call him at this point, and not call for help instead.

  6. Arias shows several times that she is a master manipulator and liar. My response to that? When people show you who they are, trust them. Believe them.

Talking about her situation in the intro to 48 Hours, Arias says, "Sometimes life requires you to step out of your comfort zone a little bit....and that's kind of the reason why I am here right now." Arias is clearly manipulating why she is where she is--in jail right now.

Arias is not in jail right now awaiting a murder trial because "life required her to step out of her comfort zone". Give me a break. She is trying to paint a sweet portrait of herself. Notice the words "kind of"? That she doesn't talk about "murder"? How she uses other words instead of the word "sex" many times until later in the story? All of these behaviors are indicative that she is a manipulator.

When asked by 48 Hours if she confessed what she knew to police when they first interviewed her, Arias said, “No. I think I was wise enough to know that coming to him with that story at this point would be like implicating myself.”

Clearly, we can see Arias lied. She admits to it. She has no problem lying to people, if she feels it will suit her. An innocent person knows that lying will only cause problems to get worse. A liar? Well, lies are their only hope, aren't they?

Interestingly enough, she can't keep her facts straight, which is another indication of deception. When Arias is talking about the photographs police found, she says "I'm assuming it's the woman, because the pants were black. And the guy was wearing blue jeans.”

Obviously, Arias cannot keep her facts straight. This is total contradiction to her story above about how the intruders were dressed in "all black". (I found this after going back to get quotes in this case).

  7. Jodi said she had to "try and remember that day" when the police found her. Don't you find that interesting? Most people would struggle to forget about it, because it would be so haunting. Why is it not haunting to Jodi?
Do I trust Jodi Arias? I do not. Not at all.

To me, though I am not an expert in psychology, Arias has the classic behaviors of a psychopath. I don't think it will take a jury very long to convict her and put her behind bars for life, or perhaps even give her the death penalty, to which Arias said, "“I know that I won't be the first person to be wrongly convicted, and possibly wrongly sentenced for either life in prison or the death penalty. Personally, if I had my choice, I would take the death penalty because I don't want to spend the rest of my life in prison.”

Have you ever seen an innocent person say, "You know what? If I am convicted, just give me the death penalty". It's totally absurd, as is Arias' story, if you want my opinion.
