Police and FBI Search for Stacy Peterson
  by Eyes at 8:51 AM

The police and FBI have been searching for Stacy Peterson in Shorewood, Illiniois, for the past few days hoping to locate her remains.  So far, they haven't been successful, but let's hope their luck changes!

Drew Peterson "Ultimate Jury Consultant" says Lawyer
  by Eyes at 2:22 PM

When the jury for the Drew Peterson trial was being selected, guess who participated in their selection? None other than Drew Peterson himself.

Drew Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky even said to the media, "We have the ultimate jury consultant and that's ah...Drew Peterson."

Yes, you can say that's no surprise because Drew Peterson is arrogant, but on this one, I have to agree he is likely being smart and that he will make a good jury consultant--especially when picking out a jury!

Are you surprised?

Drew Peterson is a person who is able to read people quite well, if you ask me. Some criminals get away with their crimes because of their innate understanding of human behavior, and Drew is one of these people.  He likely can read people like a book and may be very good at predicting human behavior.

When the jurors were being selected, it was reported that after each prospective juror interview, Drew nodded or shook his head to signal to his team if he approved of the juror or not.

It is quite likely that Drew Peterson not only listened to the questions answered by the jurors, but that he likely employed what I call "facial profiling".

Facial profiling is the process of logically deducting how someone will behave by simply looking at their facial features and emotions, and amazingly science is researching this more and more and finding there is validity in this.

Check out some of the research articles I have identified on this topic.

Drew is being very smart about picking his jury, if you want my opinion. I think the state should have employ the same strategy personally. Our face communicates information that is much more trustworthy than our words, if you want my opinion.  Facial profiling is one tool that I use constantly to baseline people.

Drew better be careful, though, if he gets too cocky or arrogant, his emotions will skew his ability to see anything, as has happened to him before and he will be completely blinded.

Drew Peterson Case in Jeopardy: Another Casey Anthony?
  by Eyes at 3:55 PM

Things are not looking good for the case against Drew Peterson.  Could this be another Casey Anthony case where the majority of people know from behavior that Peterson is guilty, but he walks?

It doesn't look good.

 Drew Peterson's Story on A&E
  by Eyes at 10:56 AM

Susan Murphy-Milano hosted a segment on A&E on Drew Peterson. She gives us more background details to the stories of Kathleen Savio and Stacy Peterson.

I particularly like how she explains Drew Peterson's personality. She's right on the money. Drew was a charmer. Most people would have gravitated towards him in social situations prior to the news coverage that showed his arrogance side. Drew was, at one time, a very likable guy.

Read one of my earliest posts on Drew Peterson here, shortly after Stacy went missing.

 Drew Peterson's Trial Starts Thursday
  by Eyes at 10:29 PM

Fox News Coverage before trial begins

This Thursday, a jury will be selected for the murder trial of Drew Peterson, who is accused of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio. It's been nearly three years since his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson disappeared.

I will never forget when I read in the Chicago Sun-Times the first words from Drew Peterson about Stacy. He said in print to a journalist, "I think she's not missing". That was a huge red flag that something wasn't right. Who thinks like that unless they are thinking on their feet? Do you often say, "I think I am not hungry? Of course not.

I had no idea at that point things would go so crazy with Drew. His arrogance finally caught up with him and it will be interesting to see this case play out in court. I plan on discussing it as details air.

The Herald-News is reporting that police plan to dig for the body of Stacy Peterson today east of Peoria, Illinois (southwest of Chicago). Drew Peterson's trial for Kathleen Savio's death is scheduled to start next month.

Remember that crazy letter that Drew got stating someone had seen Stacy in Peoria?

Remains Found: Are They Stacy Peterson?
  by Eyes at 8:42 AM

Human skeletal remains were found on the Des Plaines River near Channahon, Illinois, on Wednesday not far from where two women disappeared: Stacy Peterson and Lisa Stebic.

Read moreFrom ktla.com:
They were found by Chad Pregracke, the founder of Living Lands & Waters in East Moline, a nonprofit group that cleans up waterways in nine states.

Pregracke, 34, was alone on a 30-foot flat bottom work boat Wednesday shortly before 2:30 p.m., pulling garbage out of the Des Plaines River when he came across the bones.
The article also says:
A plastic blue barrel was spotted in the vicinity of the body. Channahon resident Michelle Williams told WGN Radio host John Williams this morning that she and her husband saw the barrel in heavy brush on the riverbank on Sunday and she saw it again on Tuesday.
However, people who are familiar with the river say that seeing a blue barrel on the river in not an uncommon sight.

Police say it will take several weeks before they will get any DNA lab results back. You can read more here at CNN as well.

Thanks A.S. for the story update.

 Drew Peterson Arrested
  by Eyes at 6:21 PM

Breaking news (thanks, R!): Drew Peterson has been arrested late today (5:35 CST) for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. From The Herald News:
“I guess I should have returned those library books,” a hand-cuffed Drew Peterson said Thursday afternoon as he was being led into state police headquarters.
I can only think about how devastating this must be to Thomas and Christopher. My heart bleeds for these boys, and for Drew's younger children. Their life has been total chaos. I wish these boys and all of Drew's children strength and courage.

The Larry King show reported that Peterson is being held on a $20 million dollar bond. I don't think I've ever heard of a bond that high. They said it will likely be reduced.

Click on the labels below to read all I have written about Drew Peterson since Stacy's disappearance. I will never forget the quote I saw in the Sun-Times when Peterson spoke about Stacy, "I believe she's not missing." I will never forget it.

 Drew Peterson: The Dad
  by Eyes at 10:48 AM

Here is an interview with Drew Peterson and his two sons whom he fathered with Kathleen Savio. It's a painful interview to watch. These two boys, Thomas and Christopher, have paid a huge price, likely as a result of Drew's actions, but he is still their dad, and he is all they have right now with regards to a parent.

Someone suggested I review this video on my Topic Suggestion page, but I have to say, I don't feel it is fair for me to analyze the children. They've been so much, and they are young, and my heart goes out to them.

In this interview, Drew doesn't show any indications that he is controlling or nervous in letting his son, Thomas, speak. You get the sense he trusts his son. There is almost a sadness that has come over Drew at this point. I wonder if his attorney or someone else suggested that he go on TV with his kids? It hasn't been like Drew to put his children in the media. It seems out of character for him.

In this interview, Drew mentions that he still calls Christina Raines his girlfriend. Isn't that interesting? Obviously they are still seeing each other.

Stacy Peterson's Sister and Drew Peterson
  by Eyes at 11:21 AM

On Wednesday, Drew Peterson took to the airwaves again, and it was too much for Stacy's sister, Cassandra Cales, to bear. She called in, unannounced, and shared her feelings with Drew. The audio segment is raw and painful, and the audio noise in the background makes listening to the conversation flat out eerie. You can't help but feel for a family who has been torn apart by the devastating and suspicious death of their loved one.

What also caught my eye when I was at the Chicago Sun-Times was an image of Stacy and her sister, with Stacy only wearing an overcoat (and nothing else), and her sister, Cassandra, wearing Drew's SWAT team uniform and holding a huge machine gun. Click to see the photo.

Does it surprise you?

 Drew Peterson's Subconscious Thoughts?
  by Eyes at 10:10 AM

Read moreDrew Peterson was on a morning TV show in Chicago this week, and said something very damning. When the reporter asked Drew what he told their children about Stacy since she has been gone for over a year, he said, "She's on vacation still, and she's not coming back." The reporter than clarified Drew's response and said, "Why do you say she's not coming back?" Drew very calmly said, "I didn't say she's not coming back." It was fascinating.

Drew had no idea he actually said it, if you want my opinion. I think it is a great example of how the subconscious brain works. He spoke from gut here, without thinking, and his true feelings, I believe, came out. Drew is that relaxed in the beginning of this video that he didn't even think about self-censoring.

Drew then says, "I didn't mean to say that...she's ah...she's on vacation....and (shoulder shrug) we don't know when she's coming back." Here we can clearly see Drew thinking on his feet as he talks. Now, realizing he slipped up, he is self-censoring. Watch how he looks directly at the reporter when he is finished. He is checking out how she is responding to his answer. This is a common trait of people who are deceptive. They want to know if they've convinced you, because if they feel they haven't, they will continue to speak until they feel they have done so.

There is another interesting moment in this video as well, when the reporter mentions what the pastor says Stacy told him and testified to before the grand jury. The reporter says according to the pastor Stacy told him that the night of Savio's death, she woke up to find Drew gone. He continues, "In the morning, the pastor said Stacy saw Peterson standing in front of a washing machine, dressed in black and holding a bag. Peterson washed the clothes he was wearing, and the women's clothes that were in the bag, the suit states. He then allegedly told Stacy that he hit Savio in the back of the head, making her death look like an accident."

The entire time the reporter is reading that statement, Drew is listening intensely. It's very notable. It appears this is the first time he heard this. The tension in his face and body at this point is incredible. It's tipping the charts!! Do you feel it? It actually makes me tense and nervous.

Drew responds, "Non...none of that ever happened" and he immediately looks to his attorney to help him. He is notably shook up.

When Drew's attorney speaks up, look at how Drew stares out into space. He is in shock about this, as if he is stunned that Stacy talked about this to someone, in this great of detail. Why didn't Drew act all comical like he always does and say, "That's nonsense!" and laugh, like usual?

I suspect what the pastor testified to is likely the truth, and it rattled Drew to the bone! Watching Drew rattled me to the bone.

* Thanks to all of you who sent me this story.

 Christina Raines Moves Out Again
  by Eyes at 11:11 AM

Neighbors of Drew Peterson said they saw Christina Raines move out of Peterson's home on Friday for the second time.

From the Bolingbrook Sun:
Before leaving, Raines shouted to Peterson, "I'll be back for the rest of my stuff some time," said Peterson's neighbor, Sharon Bychowski, who watched the move.

When the two women departed, "Her sister whipped around the court (in her car)," Bychowski said. "'Agitated' is the word."
According to CBS2Chicago.com, Raines' engagement ring is being held by the Illinois state police. This is interesting. Did Peterson give Christina Stacy's old ring? Why else would they have it? It sure makes you wonder what went on behind closed doors, doesn't it?

Thanks, Rita, for the story update!

 Thomas Morphey
  by Eyes at 9:23 AM

ABC's Chris Cuomo interviewed Thomas Morphey a few weeks back, and many of you have asked for my opinion. Thomas Morphey is Drew Peterson's stepbrother.

Is Morphey being honest with us? You can watch him speak here.

When I watch Morphey speak, I see a man who is casual and relaxed. He is not uptight, stressed or worried, which matches his demeanor when I look at his face. I suspect, by looking at Morphey, that he is an easy-going guy in real life and isn't demanding, nor is he highly driven. He is likely very accepting of people, and it would not surprise me that Peterson knew this, picked up on it and knew that Morphey was the perfect candidate to assist him, because he was easily malleable.

Read moreIn the interview, we learn that Morphey was diagnosed with bi-polar several years ago, and that he suffered from abuse and addiction issues. Furthermore, we find out that Morphey was drinking the night he talks about meeting up with Drew Peterson, but according to Cuomo, he still remembers that night. And we all know that Morphey ended up trying to commit suicide after he helped Peterson move a blue barrel.

With that, it is not surprising that Cuomo talks about how Morphey has not been called to testify in front of a grand jury. There is no doubt that Morphey has credibility issues which Morphey, himself admits to. However, when I watch Morphey speak, I believe he is being honest with us about what transpired between himself and Peterson.

Morphey says a few odd things, but they don't alert me that he is lying. He says that when Peterson asked him how much he (Morphey) loved Peterson, Morphy didn't say how much, he just said "I do." He doesn't answer the question. That could be because he doesn't want to admit exactly what he said on TV for fear he'll be ridiculed, or maybe it was just a slip of the tongue, since he is on camera. Either way, while it is odd, it doesn't mean terribly much to me.

Cuomo also tells us that Morphey said he was afraid of Peterson, yet in another sentence, Morphey said that he trusted Peterson. We typically don't trust people we are afraid of, yet when I look closely at the second statement Morphy said about trusting Peterson, he says it off the top of his tongue, without giving it much thought. Often times when we are put on the spot, like Morphey was here, we say things, that if we had given it thought, we wouldn't have said, so I don't put too much into this, either.

What would be Morphey's motivation to lie at this point? I think that is key.

Morphey doesn't hit me as a vengeful person, first and foremost, so I feel confident discounting that. Second, I don't think it would gain Morphey anything to come out publicly, and accuse Peterson, when at the same time, he is admitting to all of his own issues. Going public with all of Morphey's issues won't help him any, that's for sure.

Morphey, in my opinion, is actually being quite brave to go on television, to admit to all of his credibility issues and furthermore
to admit that he thinks he helped Peterson move a dead body. You have to admire the guy at this point for being so frank. Just sadly, I don't think Morphey will be called as witness in Peterson's trial, should it ever make it that far.

 Christina Raines Moves Back In
  by Eyes at 5:41 PM

You couldn't write news this interesting if you were to create fiction. This is unbelievable, but not surprising. Raines is obviously a lost soul, hoping the men in her life will bring her happiness. She doesn't realize happiness comes from within, and is never created by others.

I really feel for her dad and her children. This roller coaster would drive any normal person insane.

Here is my previous post on Raines.

Thanks, Ree, for the update!

 Christina Raines
  by Eyes at 7:26 PM

Christina Raines spoke out about her relationship, engagement and breakup with Drew Peterson on the CBS Early Show this week. She spoke to Julie Chen. Several of you have asked for my opinion about Raines. One person says she "appears to know something". Another asks was Raines engaged to Peterson, or not?

Who do you trust here? The suspected murderer who proclaimed he was engaged to Raines, or Raines, a young woman who says it wasn't so?

Read moreIn the beginning of the interview, Raines tells us she knew Peterson since she was 15, and she also knew Stacy.
Chen: How did this relationship with Drew get to the point where you get engaged to him?

Raines: It started out as a friendship.
Notice how she doesn't deny the engagement here?
....

Chen: Do you think he [Peterson] had anything to do with her [Stacy] disappearing?

Raines: I don't feel comfortable answering that, at all, right now.
(Watch her expression here, her lip tenses)

Chen: Do you think he had anything to do with the mysterious death of his third wife?
(Notice the movement of her lips again).
Clearly, these questions cause Raines to become uncomfortable, and her lips truly confirm this, though she is trying to hide it as best she can. I wish they didn't zoom in so close to Christina, because in this interview, her dad, Ernest, gives off some great body language. He answers questions for her, if only with his body.

Raines says she wants people to know that she is a good person, and that she fell for Peterson with her heart, but not her head. I think Raines is being very honest here when she says this, and I think everyone can see that.
Chen: Do you love him?

Raines: I don't love him.

Chen: Did you love him?

Raines
: I thought I did.

Chen: How did you become engaged to him? When did you become engaged to him?

Raines
: It was never an engagement....really.
"Really" is what I have coined a hedge word. It's notable. Raines tries to say a very affirming statement, yet when she finishes, she hedges with the word "really". She is not confident, and the use of this word here tells us this. Furthermore, why didn't she deny she was engaged when Chen asked earlier, "How did this relationship with Drew get to the point where you get engaged to him?"

The conversation continues:
Chen: What was it, then?

Raines: It was more like a "stunt".
(Notice the words "like a")

Chen
: On whose part?

Raines
: On Drew, so he could be in the media.

Chen
: Did you know it was a stunt?

Raines
: Well, he had told me that his lawyer wanted him...to... (notable, but slight shoulder shrug)...be in the media...and wanted to propose to.... someone...at a restaurant.
The last statement is very interesting. Raines pulls in her lips, which is indicative that she is feeling very uncomfortable, again. Notice how she doesn't answer the last question? She rambles on, in what feels like an attempt to convince us it was a stunt, but she doesn't say anything conclusive.

Notice how her rate of speech changed? Notice all the pauses, which are indicative of thinking on her feet? Notice how her shoulder shrugs? I can't help but want to ask who wanted a proposal in a restaurant? Notice that this is missing? Was it Peterson? Or was it his attorney? Regardless, she doesn't answer the question outright. Why is she being evasive?

My belief? I believe she didn't think it was a stunt at the time, but now she feels it was, in hindsight.

I personally believed Raines' dad, Ernest, was scared to death for his daughter when he came out in mid-December saying his daughter was engaged. He went public because he was mortified and wanted to stop her, and he didn't know how. He talked about a ring on her hand. His actions were and are believable, and now for Raines to deny it and suggest her father was lying, doesn't make logical sense. Mind you, four weeks after the supposed "stunt" engagement, Raines moved in with Peterson. It's all supportive that the engagement did, in fact, occur.

The conversation continues:
Chen: And so he said to you, we're friends, we're dating, you want to be part of this stunt? Is that how it went down?

Raines: That's how it went down, but I...would not...go with it. I would not go along with it.
Raines swallows awkwardly. I suspect this is due to her being "uncomfortable", again. Notice how she also pauses again, as she speaks, and then once she gets it out, she repeats it? It's indicative that she is not being forthright with us.

But more than that, what she is saying is nonsense. It doesn't take any rocket scientist to see this. She says she thought she was in love with him, her father talks about her engagement to him, she moved in with him, and now she says she didn't go along with this stunt? What am I missing? Does that make sense to anyone?

She got boondoggled, and I personally think she can't admit it. It's human. We've all been boondoggled in our lives, and she is no exception. When our emotions get in the mix, they cloud our judgment. She happened to get caught in a dangerous situation though, while the world was watching, and I am sure that makes it doubly hard to face, in the aftermath.

The conversation continued:
Chen: What would you say to him?

Raines: I told him no, and he said, if it comes out that I am engaged to someone, it's not really true.

(not "really" true?)

Chen: So, you were never engaged to him, is that what you are saying?

Raines: No, I was never engaged to him.

Chen: But he was putting it out there that he was engaged?

Raines: That he was engaged.

Chen: To you?

Raines: He had told me that he never said it was me. He never said that he was engaged to me, but I have heard that off camera, he had told......um...his producer, the publicist, that it was me.

(Notice she doesn't answer the question directly, again, and that she is evasive? It's almost like she had an agreement with Peterson that she would get engaged, but only if he agreed not to talk publicly about it.)

Chen: Okay, but then let me ask you this. You did live with him, correct?

Raines: I did live with him.

Chen: What was the breaking point? Why did you break up with him?

Raines: All it was...was I...moved in with him.......and the reason why I left....is...I had went on a Monday...to collect some items from my apartment...that I shared with my ex-boyfriend, Mike, and he had sat me down...

(Notice the deep sigh? Pauses? Awkwardness of what she is saying?)

Chen
: Who sat you down?

Raines: Mike. And he was telling me this is not right, he's not a good guy...(cut out some conversation to shorten)...and Thursday is when Mike had asked me to move back in with him [Mike].
I'm not buying this is the reason for the break-up. One plus one doesn't equal three here. If we look at the timing, and the news, the break-up actually occurred after Peterson did an interview with Martin Bashir for ABC. Raines was living with Peterson at this time. That's when she left him, and I think the show will likely identify why the relationship fell apart, personally.

In that interview, Peterson says some very honest things. He really buries himself in this interview, because through much of it, he is shockingly honest when he talks about his womanizing, and I personally think that his honesty hit Raines hard. That, in my opinion, along with the hard facts of Peterson's history, which Bashir concisely points out, must have broken through to her and what caused things to end.

I suspect that night when the show aired, they had a blowout. I also wonder, in that blowout, if Peterson let it be known to Raines that he truly is a threat to her, because she shows fear in her interview with Chen. That's all speculation, of course, but it makes sense.

In the interview with Bashir on ABC, the following came out:
  1. Peterson says when talking about his younger days as an undercover cop, the big joke at the time was "you had to lie to your girlfriend so you could go home and be with your wife".
  2. He also talks about how he cheated on his second wife.
  3. He talks about how as a police officer "the temptations are out there for womanizing".
  4. Peterson goes on to talk about how on some TV show, he was asked if he can con anyone, and he said "Looking at it, objectively, how do you know?" He smiles eerily when he says this.
  5. Bashir identifies that the police were called to Peterson's house on 18 different occasions when he lived with Savio.
  6. Peterson talks about and shows Bashir the house where Kathleen Savio died, as they are parked in front of it. When asked if it is painful to see the house, Peterson says, "Right. It was kind of emotional, but it was like, what can you do? Life goes on." His response was really flippant.
  7. In the interview, they show letters Savio wrote to authorities, stating she feared Peterson might kill her.
  8. Bashir also uncovers that Stacy told Pam Bosco, "I love you. If anything happens to me, he killed me. It wasn't an accident."
  9. In the interview, they show Stacy's minister admitting publicly that Stacy told him Peterson confessed to killing Savio.
  10. Bashir says in the interview that Raines' father, Ernest, said his daughter was naive and vulnerable and that Peterson tricked her into the relationship. Peterson says, "I wouldn't say I tricked her, but I sure romanced her real good." His expression is horrifying at the end. He looks like, "Yup, I duped her, too".
  11. Bashir says he met with Raines during the interview. Notice he never says anything about them "not being engaged"?
  12. Bashir talks with Peterson about how he enjoys being married, but then goes on to say, "But then you start having extramarital relationship." Bashir says to Peterson, "So you enjoy the early stages of marriage, but once things settle down, you lose a little bit of interest", to which Peterson says affirmatively, "Yes. Very much so."
  13. Peterson goes on to say that his ex-wives seemed to be bored with him after a few years and the affection on all levels died.
  14. Bashir says it is a weakness in Drew, and isn't that something that Peterson could sacrifice, to which Peterson says, "But it's something I enjoy." It's interesting because Bashir is talking about having affairs and Peterson is thinking about his "affections", and it sounds like Peterson is saying he feels he should not be denied an affair! Perhaps it was a subconscious slip? It's certainly not the stuff to build a new relationship on when you are on shaky ground. That's for sure.
All of this, I think, would inflame a would-be-spouse, wouldn't you?

Hopefully, Raines learned numerous lessons in this experience. That's all we can hope for. I just thought it was an interesting interview because most people will take Raines at face value because of all the nonsense that Peterson has put us through, but in this instance, I don't think we can put the blame all on Peterson. Raines was a willing participant, and it was her actions that landed her as the live-in fiancee of Drew Peterson, at the very least, according to her dad.

Still Married Drew Peterson is Engaged
  by Eyes at 11:21 AM

A reader of my blog informed me this morning that Drew Peterson has confirmed that he is engaged to another young 23-year-old woman. If Peterson gets his way, this will be his 5th marriage.

Peterson, for the record, is twice this girls age as he is 54-years-old.

The woman's name has not been released to the media, and she has not made any media appearances that I can find. The couple according to Peterson have been dating for only four months.

Mind you, Drew Peterson is still legally married to Stacy, but that hasn't stopped him from inquiring about his legal options for a split.
[Fox News]Desertion for at least one year is grounds for divorce under Illinois law -- though Peterson, as the divorce petitioner, would have to show he wasn't at fault for causing his wife to leave, Leving said.
All I can say is I feel sorry for this woman. She must have had a horrible background like Peterson's other exes and has a need to feel sorry for Peterson, and believe him. Her life must have been empty for her to resort to finding comfort in a man as chilling as Peterson. How sad. Let's hope this doesn't end as tragic as his other relationships.

You can read the story here.

 Drew Peterson: One Year Later
  by Eyes at 9:20 AM

It's hard to believe Stacy Peterson disappeared a year ago today. So much has gone on over the past year, but sadly nothing productive enough to bring the truth to the forefront in a way that would hold the responsible party accountable--despite the confidence in the American people who believe that Drew Peterson is responsible for the death of both of his wives.

Today to mark the one year anniversary of Stacy's disappearance, Drew Peterson and his attorney flew to New York to meet with Matt Lauer again, and Drew gave a lot less arrogant interview this time around.

Living under the umbrella of suspicion has tamed Drew Peterson's wild side. He is clearly preparing himself mentally for the potential of life behind bars as he says and as he should. There is no denying that Drew looks tired, and worn out. We are no longer seeing this cocky man sitting on the stage thinking he is fooling us all. Clearly, Drew's life wasn't the cake walk he had hoped for last November.

Read moreThere wasn't much to glean from Drew's interview today until the very end when Matt says what do you want to say to Stacy, if you believe she is still out there? It's not what Drew said that is remarkable, but how he said it that is.

Watch as Drew speaks. His thoughts go into himself, and then he rambles to no one "Show yourself. Put an end to this nightmare."

Notice how he doesn't look at anyone? Notice he doesn't try to plead to Stacy directly by looking at the camera?

When we believe someone is alive and we are pleading to them to come home, we look straight at the camera to give our message. We say it with fervor and meaning -- especially if our neck is on the line. But clearly Drew doesn't do this. It's palpable. It's notable, and Drew's behavior continues to support he is not telling us the truth.

FIRST MEMORIES OF THE CASE

I'll never forget reading about the case for the first time last year, and reading an article in the Sun-Times within hours of Stacy's disappearance. Drew Peterson hadn't made a public comment yet so all I had to go on was Drew Peterson's words printed in the paper, and what I read clearly gave me pause.

Drew Peterson said "I believe she's not missing." Those five words stopped me dead in my tracks. No one talks like that. Last year I wrote...
"I don't like the way Peterson said 'I believe she's not missing.' When people are dishonest, they often add the qualifer and descriptive text to the end [of a sentence] as an after thought. Most people would normally say 'I don't believe she is missing.' They don't start out with 'I believe she's' and then tack on 'not missing.'"

 Drew Peterson's Days Numbered?
  by Eyes at 9:30 AM

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting today that prosecutor is close to solving one of the two cases involved with Drew Peterson.
"I fully expect there to be a resolution in at least one of these investigations in the near future," Glasgow [Will County State's Attorney] said in a statement timed for the one-year anniversary of Stacy Peterson's disappearance.[Chicago Sun-Times]
I suspect that they are close to building a good case against Kathleen Savio, personally, because if they found the body of Stacy Peterson, I don't think they would be able to have kept that quiet.

It wasn't that long ago that medical experts shared their insight that there were key indications in the second autopsy of Kathleen Savio that indicated homicide. I suspect more pieces of the puzzle were gathered over the past several months -- building a solid case against Peterson.

What do you think?
