I was with a detective the other day and he opened the car door for me. Just as I sitting down in the seat, he said, "Watch out for the blood!!!" in a very convincing voice. I shrieked and winced big time!! I saw myself sitting in a fresh puddle of blood. I was cringing.
He laughed and said, "Gotchya!"
He definitely got me. Do you know why?
(My answer will be bolded in the comment section).

I'm curious to see Dr. Phil. Will he hit Tiffany head on with good questions or will he take the soft approach that she is a grieving widow?
One thing is for sure, in this preview, Tiffany's eyes are blood shot, and she appears distraught --which is the first time I have seen this since Tiffany has told us her husband was killed. Is it because of Dr. Phil or her husband? That's what I wonder!

I have written extensively on Matt Baker, and analyzed Vanessa Bulls. Check back next week for my thoughts on this show! Don't forget to set your DVR!

Last night on Nancy Grace, they got into a heated discussion about polygraphs and I was surprised to hear Nancy Grace's opinions on them. She was saying that people should take them.
I can't stress it enough. Polygraphs, as I have witnessed, are not reliable. I would much prefer to be subjected to a Truth Wizard than any polygraph. If I ever end up in a position to be asked to take one, my answer will be no, even if I am innocent as the light of day.

This has to be one of the most chilling and fascinating 48 Hours I have seen in a long time. It aired this past weekend. I was glued to the TV the whole hour. Jennifer Asbenson recounts her nightmare encounter with a serial killer. She missed her bus to work one night and a man offered her a ride. She trusted him and went and nothing happened, so the next day when he appeared at her work again and offered a ride home, she thought nothing of it. It was a devastating mistake. Asbenson describes her frightening ordeal during the 48 Hours episode. To say it is haunting and chilling is an understatement.
Asbenson was Andrew Urdiales only surviving victim and even after all these years, the emotions that Asbenson felt almost 20 years ago are as fresh on her face as the day this happened. That's because we don't forget emotional memories. They become seared into our minds and faces.
The fear expressed in Asbenson's face in this episode just seared at my soul. It scorched my heart.
There is a great lesson in this story. It's old and often repeated but so poignant. Never go anywhere with strangers you don't know. Serial killers don't usually give off any warning signs that they are dangerous. To the contrary, they are usually often masters of manipulation as we see in this story with Urdiales. He gained her trust before taking advantage of her vulnerabilities.

Adam Baker, the father of missing Zahra Baker, was arrested this morning on five counts of writing bad checks and three counts for failure to appear in court. Baker is being held on a $7,000 bond. Zahra's step-mom has also been arrested on unrelated charges to her disappearance, though police believe the likelihood that Zahra is alive to be slim. No one in little Zahra's neighborhood had seen Zahra in the weeks prior to her disappearance. Family members are also speaking out that they witnessed Zahra being treated poorly. She wore a prosthetic leg and hearing aids due to cancer, and Zahra's step mom, Elisa, used to yell at her for not walking fast enough.
Fox News reported that Adam Baker said about his missing daughter when he called 911, "My daughter, I think, is coming into puberty... so we only see her when she comes out and wants something."
He thinks she is coming into puberty? As if that is an excuse! I believe Adam Baker knows what happened to his little girl and police must now be suspicious, too, because they have locked him up with the bad checks, like this did his wife, until they can find more evidence.
You can read my original opinions of Adam Baker several weeks back here.

Tiffany's thinking is strange here. She says, "After everything happened was our day that we were going to come back, and the hardest part of all of it, is just leaving without him. And I'd rather him be next to me and be with me than having to all of this by myself."
She doesn't show normal thinking patterns. She talks oddly, doesn't she?
This woman is "off" no matter how you slice it. I do not believe she has done one interview where she didn't have numerous hot spots. I'd like to see this entire interview. If anyone sees it, let me know.

Seeker found a video of Diena Thompson that is absolutely mind-blowing to me.
In the video link below (click on the picture to to go News13's video), when you watch Diena, it is flat out flabbergasting. Here is a mom, recounting the day her daughter vanished (and was later found murdered), and all we see is radiance.
What makes this woman feel so radiant when recalling what is should be hands-down the most horrific day in her life? I hate to say it, but she has an eerie reminiscence to Diane Downs here.
Diena says, "All the people, all the cops, all the lights, cameras, it feels just like that day again, only this time I knew it was going to happen, and I still couldn't stop it."
"Still couldn't stop it?" What???? Does that even make sense?
Where is this mother's grief? It's flat out missing!
Things are very troubling with this case and it continues to haunt me. To read my original thoughts on Diena, click here.

Brett Farve is being investigated for allegedly sending inappropriate and lewd text messages including photos to TV host Jenn Sterger while both were employees of the New York Jets.
If Brett speaks out anywhere let me know.
I saw him on the news last night saying that he had no comment and that this is a league issue. I noticed he did not deny the allegations, which is notable.

October 20, 2010 Press Conference Catawba County Sheriff Tom Adkins and Caldwell County Sheriff Alan Jones
Investigators in the missing Zahra Baker case are currently searching a landfill for evidence in the case, though they say they do not expect to find Zahra's body there. They said the search may take 5 days. The Sheriff said that "if we can find this evidence, we hope it will provide a good solid time line to assist us in working this case."
Cheryl pointed out a good article that talks about Elisa Baker's history and family. Her grown daughter, Amber Fairchild, came before the court to tell the judge that she believes her mom is a flight risk. Apparently, Elisa Baker, according to Fairchild, has been having an online relationship with a man in England (despite being married to Adam Baker) and has received $10,000 from this man. Fairchild also told the court that her mom talked of leaving North Carolina the day she was arrested.
Fairchild talked of having a difficult childhood. When asked if her mother, Elisa Baker "ever had a stable residence", Fairchild said no.

Look at how Tiffany Hartley responds when Andersen Cooper asks her how she's been holding up. She can't even conceal her smile. She says, "It's hard because I just want my husband back. That's all that I want." As Tiffany says that is all that I want, she shakes her head no, ironically. Her facial expressions, body language and emotions are not matching her words at all. She is extremely inconsistent.
Tiffany Hartley talks about being afraid of being arrested again and this time she says it was because originally the Mexican authorities didn't believe her story. But now she says she doesn't fear that.
I can't believe that Tiffany would talk about getting DNA. That has to be the strangest thing ever. Would DNA give Tiffany peace? Or would it help her in her mind prove her innocence?
Tiffany can't get enough of the media spotlight. That's for sure. I feel for David's family.

The story of Somer Thompson is a sad one. She was a little seven-year old girl who disappeared on October 19, 2009, in Florida, and was found several days later in a Georgia landfill. Her mother, Diena Thompson, made several pleas for her daughter before and after she was found, and in an irony, leaked a lot of smiles just like Tiffany Hartley does. Yet police arrested a young man, Jarred Harrell, 158 days after Somer disappeared for her murder. They searched his house days after the murder. Then four months later, he was their man. We are now waiting for the trial to begin.
Read moreThis case has fascinated me from day one. Something is amiss, but until all the facts come out, I don't know that we will know what it is. I do not trust Diena Thompson.
I can tell you that just like Tiffany Hartley, I have not seen one interview with Diena where she comes across as consistent, and both of these woman have done dozens and dozens and dozens of interviews. How can that be, if they are telling us what they know is true?
In this video, when they first show Diena talking about Harrell being a monster, you can't miss the glowing joy that she is feeling. One could almost use the word "euphoric" to describe her and we've seen this emotion from Diena before.
What monster who killed your daughter is going to make you glow like that? What would make her glowing make sense?
When Matt Lauer talks to Diena, she is truly hurting here. It's noteworthy for me because while we did see small glimpses of it over the past year from Diena, we didn't see it to this degree.
Was she in shock before, and it wore off? Did Diena show signs of shock in the first few days and months of her interview? I don't recall seeing her shock, but I am not an expert on shock.
When Diena talks about the one year anniversary vigil to remember and celebrate Somer's life, she is truly feeling authentic pain. This has been a very rare expression for Diena. I can't help but question: What has changed? What has she comes to grips with over this past year, if she wasn't in shock and denial, that is causing her so much pain now?
Matt Lauer asks Diena if it is the best thing for her to attend the death penalty trial, and we see the first of Diena Thompson's smirks again, but it quickly fades as she gets real again. She says, "I feel like it is, you know. I still feel guilty for what happened to Somer, and so I want her to know that I'll always be there for her no matter what the..."
Matt Lauer asks an excellent question about Diena feeling guilty. He says, "You did talk to your daughter about stranger danger [Diena nods her head yes], but you feel that there is more you could have done. What did you say and what do you wish you'd had said?"
Diena speaks truly from the heart here, which is so notably to me and what she says has significance to me. She says, "I don't think it is so much what we say. Of course we should tell our kids not to talk to strangers, but at the same time, if I were to invite you to my house, and I introduce you to them, to them in their little minds, their young minds, you're no longer a stranger. That doesn't mean your a safe person and we need to stop just telling our children things and teaching them, if you have a bad feeling, run the other way, if someone tries to snatch you, you kick scream, punch, bite, I don't...."
This stands out to me. Diena seems more focused on people we invite into our house rather than the stranger down the street, like the one who allegedly killed Somer.
Diena truly doesn't want this to happen to anyone else. She makes this very clear for the first time. But she says something really odd, she says she couldn't afford the expenses after her "baby passed away."
Passed away? Poor little Somer was murdered by a ruthless murderer, if the police have the right suspect. Why isn't she angry about that?
When the trial in this case happens, I will be glued to all the news reports. I want to see what the evidence is in this case. Somewhere, somehow the pieces, if they are correctly identified in this mystery, will make everything make sense. If we fail to get to the truth, however, things will never add up.

We get to hear Adam Baker here during his 911 call to police to tell them about his missing daughter, Zahra. It's horrifying listening to it. He has no stress, no urgency in his voice whatsoever when he makes this call. Clearly, he is not worried about Zahra.
It turns my stomach.
Contrary to what the attorney says to Nancy Grace in this interview, his greeting to the dispatcher is very significant. It has huge meaning. People behave in predictable ways given certain circumstances. It's flat out inconsistent to take time out for social graces after an arsonist just lit the backyard on fire and your daughter is missing and in supposed serious danger. It's pure rubbish!!
While I didn't believe Adam Baker when I first reviewed him here, this nails the coffin closed for me. This man needs to be held accountable in his daughter's disappearance. He knows exactly what happened to her.

Tiffany Hartley can't give an interview without contradicting herself. We could make this the theme of the day: What will Tiffany say today that is contradictory?
It's sad, very sad.
In this interview, Tiffany says about her 16 hours of interviews, "Of course, hearing it over and over, and then reliving it over and over, it's very emotional. I've cried (flash of eye-squinting anger) several times."
What is so fascinating about this statement is that she doesn't connect her media blitz with having to "tell the story over and over again and reliving it."
Isn't that ironic?
The two (media interviews and the Mexican authority interviews) are totally separate for Tiffany and it makes absolutely no sense that re-telling the story to one versus the other would be any different, if she is a true victim here.
On one level, when it is fun, she loves to rehash it and talk about all the details, or she wouldn't have done dozens and dozens of interviews. And we've all seen her leak a gazillion smiles when she does it. But when she is being questioned by authorities, its not so fun then, so she complains.
She wants it both ways. I find that fascinating. You see, someone who is deceptive won't think that detailed, and that is how clues leak out. Her true feelings, which are much deeper than all the details she is giving us, paints the true picture of how Hartley feels and when we look at what she is really saying, it paints a horrifying picture for us...the odds that she is being honest are rock bottom.
Tiffany is convinced at this point, even after the interviews, if you ask me, that she is getting her message across and in her mind people are believing her.
I love how Tiffany looks everyone in the eye when she says, "I have absolutely nothing to hide." She is making a conscious effort here, if you want my opinion, to look everyone in the eye, which is a common trait of deceptive people, though it is not a certain tip-off by itself.
When Tiffany talks about leaving McAllen, she says, "I'm (suppressed smirk) the one that's holding everybody back." She gets joy out of that -- that she is the puppet master, apparently. She fights it again when she says, "That's me".
There is nothing about this woman that sits right with me. You can read my original assessment of Tiffany early in the game here. And when I say game, it sure feels like a "game". I believe she knows a whole hell of a lot more than she is telling us. I am wondering if David is alive and well somewhere at this point. What evidence do we have to say that he was killed? Do we have anything other than Tiffany's word, which is absolutely unreliable in my opinion?

Why would Tiffany fear an arrest by Mexican authorities when she tells us she thinks the Mexican authorities buy her story? That makes absolutely no sense. Tiffany Hartely is full of contradictions on every level from emotional to logical to factual.
What I noticed in the last couple of videos I have seen of Tiffany is that David's family who stood steadfast beside her is missing.

This is a sad story to see. Little Kathleen Edwards, 7, is seeing the worst of humanity in her dying days. She has Huntington's Disease, and Jennifer Petrov, the neighbor across the street has been terrorizing this little girl and her grandmother. I think most people will be sickened by Jennifer's callous and cruel behavior regardless of the reason.
Read moreAfter Fox News aired the segment about her and showed Jennifer's lack of self-restraint and inability to control her emotional outbursts, Jennifer received death threats, took down all of her tormenting Halloween stuff aiming at hurting the dying little girl's family, and put it away and issued an apology. Sadly, the apology holds little value.
When I watch Jennifer, I noticed as she gives her apology, she squints her eyes, which is a sign of anger. She still hasn't let it go, but obviously felt enough pressure to cave in. She says, "To that little girl, I apologize if you've been hurt (she shows frustration with her mouth here). There is not much more I can say, and hopefully, we can live our lives peacefully from now on."
To that little girl? "If" she was hurt? "Hopefully"? What a poor apology. That's all I can say.
This woman, Jennifer Petrov, is everybody's worst nightmare for a neighbor!! It makes me nauseated to see this!! She truly needs help.

I met a woman a few weeks back at a party who truly scared me. When I first met her, her demeanor caught my eye. She was unique. I assumed she was a goody-two-shoes, you know one of those women who does everything by the book: gets straights A in school, follows the speed limit, keeps a perfect house, is so strict on being proper that she was socially a little awkward? Well, I was right about the socially awkward, but I was blown away when she randomly confessed to driving 110 miles an hour on a freeway and getting a ticket. After all, she was not 18. She is a married woman, I suspect near 30 years of age.
Read moreYou'd think when you hear a person of her age making a confession like this that she would be telling the story as a confession of her ignorant youth--claiming that she learned her lesson. Yet ironically and totally unexpectedly, she continued her story in almost a bragging way when she told us on that same day, she got another speeding ticket for going over 100 again--on the same highway.
Oddly missing was the shame, embarrassment, etc. that we all feel when we did something stupid in our youth.
I immediately checked in. She was someone truly extraordinary.
Through continued conversation, it came out that she is not afraid of driving at fast speeds and still does it.
I was mortified.
She is a married woman for Pete's sake. I really wanted to share my thoughts that she was putting other people in danger, but how she talked, I knew it was hopeless. She is convinced she is a great driver, and her dad got her a radar detector so she doesn't keep getting tickets. He obviously gave up that he could stop her, or he is just as crazy as she is.
I asked her if she had any fears whatsoever and she responded that she doesn't. If she messes something up, she told me, she'll just fix it. She can fix anything.
Hello, you can't fix a dead man!? Have you ever thought of that? I wanted to blurt it out, but socially I knew that wouldn't fly, so I sat amongst the crowd. People did question her seriously, but she took it all as a joke. Her confidence and stance was clearly abnormal.
The woman was deluding herself. I think many people started wondering if this woman was for real, and I think most people quickly came to the conclusion that she was. This was no joke. It made you squirm, though not everyone caught on. Some people just found it humorous. I was certainly not laughing.
As the night went on, I found out this woman works in an elderly care facility and she is working to become a nurse.
To say I was mortified is an understatement. I really wish I hadn't heard that. If she was anything else, I would have cared less, but to care for people with such a disregard for life?
OMG.
For this woman to have no ability to reason that her dangerous behavior can easily kill others, and to believe in an arrogant way that she can fix whatever she does wrong, it only spells disaster, if she becomes a nurse, and I believe she absolutely will.
This woman will ace all of her tests and get licensed. From a technical stand point, I suspect she will be a superior nurse. But on the emotional side, I shudder. She doesn't have the normal barriers of compassion and concern to administer anything to another person. She is one woman that if we were to follow, will likely face some serious disasters in her personal or professional life that will impact the lives of innocent people who cross her path, and yet there is nothing any one of us can do about it.
That's chilling! I think it will haunt me for years to come... I will never forget her.

I was wondering if Tiffany Hartley would show any compassion for the investigator who was beheaded. I don't see any reaction worth noting, which I find odd. It doesn't bode well for her personality, sadly.
What is interesting is some of what Tiffany says about the investigator is true, I am sure and it can be used to gauge a baseline of her when she is honest. This interview is helpful for that...

You can really feel the sadness of the chief as talks about Zahra. It's heart breaking. He works really hard to control his emotions in this video, but he can't stop them from leaking out. My heart goes out to him, too. He is a compassionate man.

I wonder if this beheading had something to do with the shootout that took place on Falcon lake last week.

The story of Zahra Baker is taking a sad turn and I'm not surprised after watching Zahra's father speak yesterday. Apparently, police were issued a search warrant for Zahra's home and found a ransom note, but ironically it wasn't addressed to the Bakers. It was addressed to Adam Baker's boss, whose house the couple lives in. Upon questioning, police got a confession out of Zahra's step-mom, Elisa Baker, that she wrote the note. It doesn't look good.
Police also had dogs alert on human remains in both parent's vehicle.
The police are asking people to come forward and report the last time they saw Zahra. So far no one has reported seeing her in the last month. If that's the case, as I suspected yesterday, the husband is not being honest in his story that he saw her last Thursday evening. His story is fishy to me.
I wrote about Adam Baker here yesterday. You can read ABC's story update here.

Every Tuesday, Dr. Phil talks to a group of housewives he brought in to get "real". Dr. Phil didn't know what their "stories" were going to be when he chose them, so it is all coming out on the show.
This is a fabulous study of human behavior on so many levels. You get to see real people and here their real stories. These shows can get intense, I tell you! I've watched two so far.
I've always liked Dr. Phil when he is in his "doctor" mode. He is really good at spotting the truth and calling people on it. I thought it was interesting how he talked about "first impressions", too.

Here is another interesting video of Tiffany a reader pointed out last night. Tiffany talks of people in the boats who appeared "friendly" and "waved" at them.

Little 10-year old Zahra Baker went missing from the family home this past Saturday. Zahra has bone cancer and lost a leg and her hearing to the disease. She wears a prosthetic leg and hearing aids. Police issued an Amber Alert in the case and the FBI and U.S. Marshals have been looking for Zahra.
Elisa Baker has been arrested for making threats, writing bad checks, larceny and driving with a revoked driver's license, according to The Associated Press. She is being held on $31,500 bond.
In this interview we see Zahra's father, Adam Baker, speak. He raises my eyebrows.
Adam was asked in the interview if he believed his wife was involved and he replied, "I wouldn't like to think so. It's kind of what I've heard so far. It could be possible."
It's "kind of" what he heard? Why is he waffling, if this is what he believes or is being led to believe?
George asks Adam if the last time he saw his daughter was at 2:30 a.m. Saturday when she was sleeping in her bed. Adam says, "Uh, that's what time her mother told me she went and checked on her--when I was asleep."
George continues, "So when was the last time you saw Zahra?" Watch how Adam has to think to answer that. It's odd. He says, "It would've been...probably Thursday night and I got up early and went to work..."
Probably?
He doesn't know when he saw his daughter last? Usually when people go missing, the first thing we do is go back to the last time we saw them and think about it. Did we tell them we loved them? Did we kiss them?
If Adam and Elisa believed their daughter was abducted, you would think they would retrace all their steps from their last accounts to see if anything was unusual or extraordinary, wouldn't you? And he isn't even confident the last time he saw his daughter? Red flag. I also find it odd how he immediately accounts for his time the next morning. Its like he is trying to cover himself. Why would he care if he knows he had no involvement? It's noteworthy.
I wonder what the fire was that was burning at 5:30 in the morning? That piques my interest.
I am surprised at how Adam responds to George about checking on Zahra after the fire. He seems to think before he answers here, too. He hesitates a lot. He says, ".....um.....no. I was in big panic because there was a fire in the yard and I was talking to investigators." Its plausible, of course, but his response is noteworthy to me--how he thinks about it before answering. Why doesn't he just say "No. I figured she slept through the whole thing. She wasn't in danger so we didn't want to worry her." It's like he never thought about it at all. Did he know she wasn't there at that point?
What were they doing up at 5:30 to even see the fire? Was it a building fire or just the yard? I'd like to know more about the fire.
Adam then leaves the house at 11:00 a.m. or noon on Saturday to check out a job, and yet doesn't think any of not seeing his daughter that morning? Isn't that odd? Most ten year old children are up long before noon.
Then it wasn't until 2:00 PM that the parents reported Zahra missing? That doesn't add up.
Adam says that when he came back from the job that morning, he was working in the yard and that is when Elisa came out of the house and "started screaming that Zahra was missing." That means Adam wants us to believe he came home and never questioned where his daughter was. Either he was really uncaring and unconcerned about his daughter, or we are not getting the real story here.
George questions Adam about what Elisa knew and Adam says, "Uh, she didn't know very much. She came out crying and panicking...just like telling me Zahra was gone....um, I went inside and searched the house and started searching around the block (head shake no) and...called the police."
The words "just like" flag me here. As if she did this, but perhaps really didn't? It's a hedge...Ronald Cummings did this as well.
If notice Adam doesn't give us any details about Elisa said. This is a huge flags me. He should be giving us details. He should have fears, emotional memories, etc, but he doesn't give us any of this. Alarms ringing.
Adam seems to be resigned his daughter is not out there for some reason. I see no hope that they will find her. Maybe he knows things that the police aren't revealing?
I think Adam knows more than he is telling, but what that is, of course, I don't claim to know.

Tiffany Hartley speaks out again and again and again. Here is another interview from a Fox morning show.
What I find so fascinating in this interview is the reporter say to Tiffany something to this effect: Is it true that you knew there was risk involved and that your motto is no fear? Tiffany says that's true. Isn't that ironic? Last week, she said about her husband, "He would never put me in a position in danger and we hadn't heard anything, um, going on over there. We had heard of about the pirates, but we didn't know...we just hadn't heard anything recently."
Read moreWatch Tiffany shake her head in this interview and nod. She is all over the table as is her story.
When the reporter says, "They shot your husband in the back of the head?" Tiffany responds with a shockingly new response, "As far as I know."
WHAT? If she turned him over, she would know for sure he was shot in the head. Her statement clearly show she is doubting herself. Why would she doubt what she supposedly knows happened? This is a really big red flag.
When Tiffany responds to the accusations that the Mexican authorities don't believe her, watch how she sobs yet not one tear falls. "He was my rock. He was everything to me," she says.
She keeps licking her lips in this video. I suspect she has a dry mouth, which can come from being nervous. Why on earth would she be nervous if she has nothing to hide?

Several months back, I decided to ask my readers to send me photos of where they read my blog. It's been a lot of fun seeing your faces and where you live! We've seen readers from London, New Zealand, Dubai, Japan, Australia, and the United States. Thanks for all of those who have joined in, and if you haven't, we'd love to see you! You can read more about it here.
One reader, Louana, and her husband, Yasu, have been enthusiastic about sharing where they read my blog. They've traveled the world and taken me along. First we started in Japan where Yasu is from, and then Louana went to her homeland in The Netherlands and now she has moved to San Francisco and taken us to Alcatraz! Very cool, Louana! Alcatraz.
Thanks Louana and Yasu for sharing in the fun with us! It's been a blast going on your world tour with you!!

CBS has an update to the Tiffany and David Hartley story today. A police dash cam "shows the Hartleys pulled over shortly before they went to Falcon Lake in Texas, which supports her story and time line," says the CBS report.
CBS also quotes the Zapata County Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez as saying, "There's no reason for us to doubt what she's saying. Our investigation is really for us to get a body." Furthermore, Gonzalez stated that he has no doubt that Tiffany is telling the truth. I mentioned that in my earlier posts. He stands convinced. Isn't that odd?
I find Gonzalez's insistence that everything checks out because of a dash cam video odd, frankly. How can be then vouch for what happened on Falcon lake after that time?
Maybe he has other evidence? It would absolutely shock me if he did. It would be mind-blowing, frankly, because Tiffany's behavior doesn't add up now matter what calculations you use.

Oksana Grigorieva spoke out to People Magazine about her problems with Mel Gibson. She talks about how Mel came after her, threatened her and pulled a gun on her, and then threatened to kill himself.
Do you think she is telling the truth?
Read moreI don't think it takes any rocket science to know that Mel Gibson has a temper. We've all heard it for ourselves in the past few months, which makes the likelihood that something could have happened higher than usual.
Is he capable of pulling a gun out and threatening Oksana? Absolutely. The rage we heard in his voice is pretty predictive of his lack of emotional control.
Do I believe something happened on January 6? I do.
Oksana appears to show genuine sadness over the event, but I don't see fear, which is odd.
I also find it odd how she talks about the gun that day. She says, "And then he pulls a gun out." Notice how she shrugs her shoulders. That's not a conclusive hot spot for me (alone as honest people do this), but it is noteworthy. Then she hedges when she says, "And he, you know, he pulls a gun out basically, and he wants to kill us all."
Basically? He either did or he did not. Why is she minimizing this? This flags me. She also doesn't speak in past tense when talking about this. She says it in present with the words "wants" instead of wanted.
She continues, and says, "And then he says (shoulder shrug) if I leave then...he's going to...um.....blow his brains out on the wall (shrug). There was no logic in what he was saying." When she says this, I see that she is a bit indignant. I suspect he did say said this at one point or another. Did he say it that night? I don't know.
At the end when she talks about him beating her up when she was holding the baby in her arms, she definitely was concerned for her children. I have no doubt about that, but I'd like to question Oksana about the gun incident. I'm not convinced, but I can't rule it out at this point. I'd need to see more. Most people who someone pulled a gun on them would be terrified--especially if they were holding their children, as Oksana says.
According to People Magazine, the L.A. Sherrif is investigating Oksana to see if she used the audio tapes to extort Gibson.

Every now and then I see a video or a self-proclaimed deception expert identify "tips" for the average people on how to detecting lying, and my skin crawls. I really bite my tongue not to saying something, but this was so bad, I just can't believe that MSNBC.com put this on their front page. It's that PAINFUL!
Whoever created this will cause so much friction in honest people's lives, it hurts me to even think about it. This is simply horrifying! Please watch it and give it an honest review on MSN.
Apparently the creators of this are comedians.
Is this a hoax? I honestly don't think it is, but the joke will ultimately fall upon those who believe this is true!! What a shame.

Tiffany Hartley is making the media rounds and appeared on Greta. While I didn't catch the interview myself, a reader, Jo, wrote to me and told me about it. What Jo pointed out was fascinating. When she saw this clip, she noted that Tiffany said, "I turned around to go help him, see if I could get him back on my jet ski and get out of there."
Read moreBingo. That's a big hit to what the truth may be. Great catch, Jo!
What is so fascinating is the words "back on my jet ski". Does this mean that they only took one jet ski that day? It is highly suggestive this is the case. She has a reference for something here that has relevance, I suspect.
This entire interview with Greta is riddled with hot spots. When Greta asks Tiffany what happened, watch Tiffany start out with a big shoulder shrug when she says, "David and I were...." That shoulder shrug tells me that her gut response is "I don't know". Why would she not know if she was there?? It signifies doubt. Then she continues.
She says, "We were on the Mexican side, just taking pictures....and were heading back....just (shoulder shrug) had some boats (shoulder shrug) come after us (shrug)...and started chasing us (shrug) and starting shooting at us (shrug). Had several boats bullet going over me and hitting m..behind me and (shrug) I looked back (shoulder shrug) David was hit."
Notice as she finishes she nods her head yes. She does this a lot. Tiffany is very expressive when it comes to head nods and shakes. Here she is nodding her head in agreement, as if to say that yes, she agrees with what she said. It is a common trait of deceptive people -- like a subconscious slip. It's telling. Tiffany also shakes her head no at times when she says things that I think she knows are untrue. It's fascinating to watch. She is a particular good study.
What is so notable outside of her wildly active shoulder of doubt is her use of the word "just" and "some". It minimizes what she is saying, and that is very odd for a victim to do. Her tone of voice and facial expressions are minimal or flat as well. It is clear this woman is not hurt in the least by what happened, which flat contradicts her story. When someone is victimized, people -- all people, feel it, deeply.
I found Tiffany's account of where the jet skis were inconsistent. She keeps telling us she had to look backward to see David, yet she tells us he was between her and the pirates. Then why would she say she had to look backward? She does not seem to have an actual visual memory of what actually happened, if you ask me.
Greta asks if these people got close enough to say anything to Tiffany or David and Tiffany responds, "No, no they didn't." If they came up to her like she said in other interviews and pointed a gun as she later says in this interview as well, or as the one witness said she said they yelled in Spanish, she would recall this at this moment. But she doesn't, which is a gigantic red flag. When we create things, we don't have a big picture upon which to drawn on. She focuses on the little bits she created and that is why she responds as she does here. It does not support honesty.
I also find it odd when Tiffany talks about the two shots that hit next to her in the water. Every time she tells this story, she repeats the exact same thing. Most honest people would actually give more details, or vary their account ever so slightly as they remember and think back to that day. Tiffany is sticking tightly to her script. It's another red flag.
I've also noticed that Tiffany cries on cue when she talks about David flying over the jet ski. She's done it on several different interviews. How staged is that? And of course, there are no tears.
At one point she slips and says "my boat" and then corrects herself and says jet ski. I wonder if she was ever on a boat during any of this? It makes you wonder.
Greta asks Tiffany how close she had to get to the boats to go past them. Watch Tiffany's micro expression smile as she says, "I honestly have no idea." If you are scared for your life, you know exactly how far because you would try to keep as far away as you could and the minute they would come near you, you would freak!! Her statement that she didn't even look at them is ridiculous.
I find Tiffany's answer about what the motive could be fascinating. She says, "Who knows?" If you are a victim, you wouldn't just spout that off. It would be troubling to you, but not to Tiffany. She is so relaxed and casual, you'd think she was at a tea party!
I am really taken by the fact that Tiffany can't say the word "killed"...she says "It could've turned to both of us dying or me getting kidnapped." That's a big hot spot.
I don't think there is a 15 second window in this video where a hot spot isn't leaking out, sadly. What a horrible tragedy. I am waiting for the truth to slowly reveal itself... My heart goes out to David's family.
